  1. I think as fans we are willing to give any manager time if we can start to see something. Patterns of play and partnerships in the team. Raskin and Barron seem to be working well as the double pivot. I also think that Cerny and Bajrami are clicking and utilising the quick pass to switch to the other wing. Or maybe they just don't want to pass to our striker🤣🤣 PS. Why were we not wearing our home strip tonight? I like the funky 3rd option but we should be be in blue whenever possible.
  2. I have to disagree. I thought the ref was decent and let play flow.
  3. Sterling was pissed off as he obviously wants to play games but I get what Clement was doing. They changed their wingers and Sterling could have tired. Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill.
  4. Regardless of Dessers goal, tonight showed that our team would significantly improve with a better striker. Dessers is powder puff and some of his overall play and decision making is junior football level.
  5. Clement already stated that he wasn't ready to play 90 minutes.
  6. Nice strip but kind of reeks of "we're potentially at the end of our contract and we are going to milk the Rangers fans for more money" Any updates on a new kit supplier? I would interested to see what the reasons and terms were regarding the 3 EPL teams who ditched Castore after 1 season. I presume they didn't agree a 1 year deal?
  7. Been doing this for years. It's absolutely awful tactic.
  8. Cerny and Jefte back in. Team as expected. Zzzzzzzz.....
  9. Maybe this is the issue? Why do we feel the need to just get someone who has won something? Pedro won things before coming to us. Meant nothing. Clement won things. At the moment it looks irrelevant. I wish we would be more creative. Look at Brighton for example. They pick managers to fit their overall philosophy.
  10. Regardless of formation and the arguable quality of our squad, the thing that I want to see more than anything is a significant increase in the intensity and tempo of our play. Jesus...how hard can it be? I coach at under 15s level and my mantra is start the game like you're a goal down and you're going into the final 5 minutes. I give them a challenge to win the game in the first half to enable us to control what happens in the 2nd half. I feel that's why we get so many bloody injuries. Our players are constantly playing 90 minutes of games that have 1 goal in them.
  11. I think we can. Despite Aberdeens early run, I fully expect them to implode soon. They are average at best IMO. What possible riches do we lose if we don't sack him? I think we will secure 2nd place and probably will get far in the 2 Cup competitions. We will probably secure an extra round in Europe so what's at jeopardy in financial terms? If we sack him we're looking at 4 million upwards to pay out his contract.
  12. Didn't watch the game midweek but caught up with it yesterday. We were awful but I thought Aberdeen were nothing more than committed and physical. Much like Killie were in our previous defeat. Teams don't need to do much to firstly match us and then to out fight us. I'm not surprised in the slightest that Celtic hammered them. They should have done it in their previous meeting by all accounts.
  13. 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 for me. As has been said before, our strikers don't function in the single striker mode so at least try 2 up top and go for it. And that's 2 strikers. Not one striker and someone else in the hole as a supporting number 10. We need to adopt other options as it clear to see that what we are doing now is not working.
  14. Didn't watch the game and after reading the report online, I'm glad. The saddest aspect about this whole debacle is that I've got to the stage where I'm not even angry any more. Defeats don't register the way they used to. I'm not sure if I'm just getting numb to all this as it has become a regular occurrence or maybe getting older has made me just apathetic.
  15. Is the manager trying to get sacked? Or is he trying a back 3?
  16. Considering the fragile mentality displayed by our team at the moment, I would suggest getting the first goal is the only way of giving ourselves a chance of winning. It made such a difference to our overall performance Vs Malmo and FCSB.
  17. That's also what stood out to me.
  18. The player trading model will only work (consistently) with a successful team winning trophies and major games on a consistent basis. No one is interested in players from teams that finish second. Are the costs related to new EH and the development of the Copeland Road development factored into this?
  19. Games that follow European games have been historically lacklustre affairs and this was never more evident than the dip in standards in our recent home game versus Hibs (after our superb win in Malmo). IMO, that is our main target tomorrow (beyond the 3 pts). We need to replicate the same desire and energy in our domestic games and build on the positives from Thursday. Albeit a totally different challenge from FCSB, we need to show St. Mirren no respect whatsoever and go for them from the first whistle. I feel that it's a no brainer. Players showing energy, speed and tempo = engaged and excited fans. Let's continue to build some momentum for Wednesday. ---------Butland-------- ----Souttar--Propper---- Nana---------------Jefte -----Barron---Raskin---- --------Diamonde------- Cerny-----------Berjami ---------Igumane-------
  20. Kilmarnock weren't very good on Sunday but they won. You can only beat who is in front of you. FCSB beat POAK away from home last time round and they are second in the Greek league at the moment. Several places above Olympiakos. That suggests they are of a decent enough standard.
  21. Both were correct decisions. The player stands on Butlands foot (and if we are talking about the same penalty incident) there is a rule regarding an arm whilst on the floor.
  22. 100% agree. I was simply using Diamonde as an example of our bipolar nature as fans. Cerny was equally poor a few weeks back (and Sunday) and he also stood out last night. I feel we just need to show a little patience with this group of players. Remember how Sima was viewed in the first month of his Rangers stint last season. Look how that turned out.
