I do mate. We were brutal. And I'm with you regarding McLeish. I don't want anywhere near Ibrox in any capacity. I was happy when we won trophies under him but that was a long, long time ago. My fear is that he will given the job long term if comes and simply steers us to 2nd place.
-
That would be my biggest fear tbh. We are so poor that even if we show slight improvement and go from being really poor to mediocre the board might opt for the soft option and go for McLeish long term.

Is John Park still out of work? The guy has a proven track record
-
I genuinely do not see the point of referring to what McLeish did at Rangers 13/14 years ago as barometer for what he could bring to us now. That's a lifetime ago and tbh you may as well as say that John Greig is in the running as he beat Juventus and PSV in the European cup nearly 40 years ago. McLeish is not the answer whether it's short term or long term IMO.

Just getting my head round all this. All in all I'm gutted tbh. I thought getting MW in was one of the most progessive things we had done in about 10 years and I'm just sad that it didn't work out. Sadly, I can see us now returning to the myopic days of old and to see some people even mentioning McLeish is frightening. I'd rather take a punt on a guy like Tommy Wright than go anywhere near big Eck. What about Alec Neil? Or Gary Rowett? Anyone but Eck.
-
The idea of Alec McLeish coming back in any capacity is depressing. The football he served up at Villa was nothing short of criminal. The guy over thinks football and thinks you win games on a flip chart. No thanks.

I thought the same thing tonight with regards to the players not buying into it. Tavernier looked disinterested

One of the worst 90 minutes in my 38 years watching Rangers. Awful
-
My enthusiasm for football is already at an all time low but if that were to happen, I would really think about chucking it.
-
And to think people were talking about European football...
-
Have we been practicing losing the ball in training all week? Far too many unforced mistakes and misplaced passes
-
Big Eck? God fecking help us if that is an alternative

In a season that has already has been littered with 45 mins. that could be filed under "uncomfortable to watch", this is up there. I've backed Warburton all the way but I have to admit, I'm starting to have doubts. I genuinely fail to see what we are trying to do out there. Injuries aside, I also think the constant chopping and changing of the team is not helping. And WTF is wrong with MOH? He comes in and shows some great promise then is benched again for 4/5 games in a row. Mmmmm...

I think Man City's early fixtures flattered them TBH.

England vs Scotland will be shown live on STV

Adam is tailor made for this game IMO. Considering we have a team that cannot pass or hold the ball Charlie Adam seems to do that reasonably well in a high level league. On top of that, Scotland's best hope will be deadballs and corners IMO and he has a sweet left foot. Oh wait so has Mulgrew.... -

Would rather have Waghorn coming from the left than Miller but hey, that's a team that should create chances! -

I hate to state the bleeding obvious but it is crucial that we get the first goal today. There has been too many times this season (Hamilton, Motherwell, Aberdeen, St.Johnstone) when we have lost the first goal and this only applies more pressure to a team looking to build their confidence. I hope an early goal for us can let the team settle and start to do what they are good at. C'mon Rangers! -
I know Garner has a lot of doubters but if you look at his goals showreel from Preston, he scored a lot of goals like this. On a side note, I had to laugh at the image above. Do you think the Saints player far right (Craig?) had a bet on Garner? He looks quite happy as Garner makes contact....

I think we are playing against better and fitter teams tbh.

Forrester was poor tbh. Elsewhere, I feel sorry for Windass. He looks like a player that is playing like he is trying to "impress" as opposed just doing the effective, simple things. He looks to get forward quickly and this is causing him to make poor decisions IMO. Once he settles, I really think he could a great asset -

I have to agree. By the 2nd half we could have played for 450 minutes and I still wouldn't have been convinced we would score. Are we capable of getting to the byline at all? -

Wright got his tactics perfect last night but the worrying thing is that we did nowt to counter. We just kept on with the same huff and puff football. -

I hate to say it but I havee to agree with The Scotsman tbh. We did have a lot of the ball but did little with it. Despite having less possession, St. Johnstone looked dangerous and at times looked like they had an extra man on the pitch. We just huffed and puffed and looked lost at times -

I agree. We look like a team that is scared and that was shown in great evidence on sunday. St. Johnstone worked us out in the first half then applied the same pressing tactics in the 2nd half. The worry for me was that they looked like they had an extra man on the pitch, were as we looked incapable of producing much apart from a goal crafted by chance rather than design. Outwith Garners header, I can't think of their keeper making any crucial saves in the 2nd half? I know some people are appalled at the call for the occasional long ball but last night the odd long pass would have stretched the game and pushed us higher up the pitch. I for one hate that type of football as a tactic but a few long passes last would have taken the pressure off defence, who seemed to be struggling with St. Johnstone pressing.
