  1. The front players were to isolated too get any quality coming out of defence. Along with the 2nd half with Motherwell, that's 2 games that we've squandered the midfield for long balls. I hope this is not a sign of things to come because we have Lafferty ie. A big guy up front
  2. Really, really, disappointed. More disappointed by the performance than the score. Outwith some better defending, that was a performance from last season IMO. We gave their ball players too much space and respect. No pressure on their back four whatsoever. Piss poor and much to think about
  3. Started higher up the pitch. C'mon!
  4. It doesn't need to be too high a press. Shove on 20 yards. The front players are isolated from the rest of the team. Squeeze the game into the middle of the park
  5. Ayer tried to stamp on MacGregor first. Hopefully that won't be overlooked
  6. We are allowing them to much space and time. We are not pressing
  7. Their defence is poor but we haven't put them under pressure at all. Is it me or is Morelos not pressing as much as he has before?
  8. I'd rather get beat having a go. At this rate we are just inviting them to come at us and if we keep doing it they will score
  9. Not impressed. We haven't asked questions about their defence at all.
  10. This is repeat of the Motherwell 2nd half. Playing far too deep. Our midfield is being bypassed
  11. We are sitting too deep. We need to shove further up the park
  12. Apparently McCauley signed for the season. Decent experienced cover.
  13. Just seen the Celtic team. Looks like it will be like for like (3 in the middle and 2 on the flanks)
  14. Hang in there John. Nerves means we are in this for real and we are doing something right. I've gone into the last 5/6 OF games with zero feeling and fully expected to be pumped
  15. I tend to agree Rab. It's bold. Maybe he want to double up on the flanks?
  16. That's an attacking team but as they only play one up front (usually) does that not leave us light in midfield? Saying that the game could be won and lost on both flanks with Barsic/Lafferty and Tav/Kent going up against their backs and wide players
  17. Scotland voted Labour for years to try to keep the Tories out and it got it us nowhere and it also got us Tony Blair and his cronies. I've never voted Labour in my life and never will. They pulled the wool over the eyes of people in Scotland for decades and took their votes for granted. I can't stand the Tories but they don't pretend top be anything else other than what's on the tin. If you vote for them you are fully aware of what you are getting. Labour just failed the people of Scotland too many times.
  18. I see wee bitter Strachan has chimed in with his hyperbolic and nonsensical preview of todays game. Goes along the lines of "if Celtic win, all the hype and good work Rangers have shown will come crashing down". Em, don't think so Gordie. How this wee man was allowed anywhere Scottish football amazes me. I had zero respect for him before but after his classic quote regarding genetics and Scottish football the guy is a joke. Anyway, c'mon the Rangers. Regardless of the score, give us a performance to be proud of.
  19. Think we are going off topic here but how are the SNP anti-English?
  20. I know Scotland is on the back burner for many folks on here but from a footballing POV, a midfield from Jack, McGinn, McDonald, Cairney, McTominey, Armstrong and Fraser is decent by anyones standards. After 10 years of Scott Brown "pulling the strings" there is some quality in there.
  21. Agreed. On the flip side, not one of these teams would have wanted us from pot 4.
  22. That's bonkers. Meanwhile at the cesspit they are erecting barriers to hold back the crowds to welcome all the big money signings....oh wait..
  23. Scotland must have some squad if Jack wasn't deemed worthy of a place in the original selection
