  1. Rapid in Vienna will be a harder game IMO. Spartak were poor at the back and we also gifted them goals tonight.
  2. Can't believe those 2 goals in the 2nd half. Went for a quick whizz at 3-2 and came back and it was 3-4. Gutted
  3. Our bench is a bit like that all the time tbh. It's very much like for like with the subs
  4. Probably close to what most people were expecting. Hope Katic returns to form Edit...just saw that Jack has been benched
  5. Agreed but some victories are sweeter than others
  6. Agree. As much as I've been a bit critical of his end product of late he'd be good if the game is a bit more stretched. I hope the Russians have a go as we haven't played anyone since the Hearts game that have actually commited bodies forward.
  7. I see that Boca and River Plate have reached the final of the Copa Libertadores over in South America. (This is equivelant of Rangers v Celtic in the Champions League final). It made me think of classicos and derbies around the world as this match has always been on my bucket list for football viewing. I just wondered if anyone had experienced this game personally or had been to any of the other big classicos/derbies? My top 5 bucket list would be: Boca V River Plate Inter V AC Milan Barca V Real Fenerbache V Galatasaray Al Ahly V Zamalek (Cairo derby)
  8. Depends if it enters the net or comes straight back??
  9. We were the first club in Scotland to appoint a safeguarding officer, developing policies for the protection of young people and monitoring and reviewing our procedures to ensure they continue to reflect best practice. Yes...only because you had to, due to the previous investigation no doubt. They are the only club in the world that could release a statement like that. Instead of the focus being purely on the victims they still manage to spin a positive about how they are leading the way in this area. Shameless
  10. Don't think it's that bad an idea tbh. A one-shot shoot out between the keeper and taker could be exciting. If the keeper makes a save, he's generally on his erse so has little chance against the oncoming player(s). I may be mistaken but does ice hockey not use a one off shot system?
  11. Much of what you've raised comes from the over analytical aspect of modern football. Teams are almost not allowed to have bad games these days and "form" is judged on a game by game basis. With regards to Klop and Liverpool, much of their recent issues stems from their midfield IMO. They've sorted out their defensive problems but haven't got the balance right in middle and I think they miss Henderson. He's not spectacular but can be vital in the engine room. Kieta and Fabhinio are also still finding their feet. Saying all that, they are unbeaten in the League and have made their best ever EPL start but for me they haven't reached the heights from last season yet. If you compare Liverpool this season to the how they were at this stage last season it's night and day. I still feel they have loads in the tank and when they click they are the only team that will get near City.
  12. With regards to scalps...outwith the tims, Hibs are the team I would enjoy beating more than any. Beating Aberdeen doesn't really interest me at all tbh.
  13. If the rain stays away, Autumn is my favourite season. Used to go to NY in Oct every year for about 10 years (before the nippers) and one of my abiding memories is the smell of fresh coffee and bread on a brisk Autumn morning.
  14. Cue a red card in the 1st minute in Moscow ....? Upon your head be it Darthter!!
  15. Fair point. I just think body language in sports can be crucial. Look at Andy Murray over the years. He's lost crucial points/games due to his awful body langauge when things are not going well IMO. It only serves to give his opponent a lift. One thing I think that has improved with Morelos is his finishing. He's scored goals this season he would have probaly missed last season IMO.
  16. Agree with all that. The one thing I would work on would be his body langauge. He needs to drop the petted lip and slumped shoulders when things are not going well. It gives opponents something to feed off IMO
  17. Thanks for the update Pete. Hopefully any new podcasts will have added chat about a glory night in Russia....
  18. Is it based on league games only? Are they factoring in Europe? If it's just league games that's baffling tbh as they very rarely get beyond 52/53,000 (unless it's a Rangers game)
  19. I see the BBC news are still going with the "youth club in Glasgow" line.
  20. Rangers take in 23 million per home game? Whit? And what are the radical changes to the stadium? Just sounds like sensible reshuffling
  21. If you're in Russia for the game, I wouldn't be wearing a rainbow ribbon...
