Poor performance  and poor tactics.   Severe lack of urgency in our gameplay.   Sick and tired of davis and his side and back passes.    Play like this against the scum and we will lose.

Perspective please. The priority was a win and 3 pts. The clean sheet was a bonus. Did we play our best game of the season? Far from it but these are the games that will win titles. We simply cannot reach the heights for every game.

I'm usually as cautious as they come about predicting the winning of football matches but I kind of share your optimism regards a relative wallop.

I'd obviously take any kind of win but I think title winning sides tend to send out markers at certain stages of the season, with the festive season being one of the most traditional and important.

What we can't do is drop points and allow doubt and talk of momentum shifts to dominate next week.

The last time Celtic were going for 10IAR, I was with my Dad on a train that we boarded at Leuchars, going to Edinburgh and with a tiny transistor radio held close to the window for a signal, we listened to David Francey commentating on the New Year OF fixture at Ibrox. That day was a marker, 3-0 win. I didn't realise the relevance at the time but I hoped we scored as we passed Markinch.

David Francey...I have fond memories of hearing his dulcut tones. These were usually via the TV/Radio from some exotic location when Rangers/Scotland were playing (pre Sky for the younger members)

  3. Started the day with Bellini's, followed by a few cans of Guinness. Moved onto a Australian cabernet sauvignon (19 Crimes) for the Christmas feast and finished the day with a some ice cold Heinekins. Surprisingly for me I have a clear heed this morn. Roll on round 2...

  4. As much as Hibs offer a more offensive challenge, I can only see this a positive for us. The last group of games have seen us face teams that have set up very defensively, with little space to get in behind.

Let's not lose sight of where we are and how we got there. We are the top of the league for a reason and IMO, all the tactical questions are firmly on Hibs. Do they come at us and open themselves up to Tav/Borna/Aribo/Kent/Kamara/Airfield/Hagi/Roofe exploiting space they have not had in a while? Or do they sit tight and stuff the midfield and hope for something on the break?

Personally I think we will wallop them today.

He had a few poor moments, but I thought aside from his involvement in the goals he still did very well for spells in the first half in particular. He takes the ball to feet in tight spaces very well and his link up play can be brilliant. He would have had the assist if the season if a goal had come from that flick.

Hagi and Aribo proved last night that they are crucial if we are struggling to Tav/Borna in behind. Along with an effective front man (Roofe) they can create through the middle with their passing and quick feet

Amazing find. I worked as an graphic designer/illustrator for over 25 years and can trace the origins of my interest in art back to 2 things. The animations of Walt Disney Studios and the caricatures of Malky McCormack

Another good performance and result last night.

Hagi is a strange one - sometimes looks like he's never seen a football before but then sets up and scores.  A good option and should be playing more.  Aribo played well.  I thought Morelos worked hard and was really disappointed he didn't tuck away that chance.  Kent - he needs dropped because he has done nothing for weeks.

I think you are being hard on Kent tbh. Not everything Kent does comes off but he does other things that are important to the team like tracking back and closing down, creating space for other players etc. One thing I like about Kent is that he always tries to get involved and never hides

No surprises with this disgusting, vile club, they will stop at nothing to continue cheating to win anything, the SFA/SPFL and compliant Scottish gutter press are the same, throw in all other Scottish clubs who are quite happy to go along with them and it just reminds us of how difficult it is for us to get back to dominating Scottish football.

Surely they know we would be crowned champions. We only have last season to refer to

If we need to show our players examples of Brown acting the idiot to spur them on, we may as well give up now.

Huge game tonight.  Hopefully lessons have been learned from last week.  Our defence has looked a bit shaky in recent matches and needs to get back on track.  Whether Morelos starts or not will be interesting.  Roofe could be the difference again - he has the ability, I just hope he gets the chance(s) to show it.

I tend to agree about Brown and where we're at. I just genuinely dislike that cretin and his antics and the fact that he is lauded by so many

What the vhermin do, and how they behave, is an irrelevance.

Of course, Brown is no more than a cock on a dungheap; in this you are 100% correct.

Of course but come the OF game this troglodyte will attempt to use every trick in the book to cling onto their hopes of 10. We (and in particular Alfie) cannot fall for it again. His antics on Sunday were staggering (even for him)

That's the attitude I want from Borna and the team! One game at a time.

This accompanied by a video showing that numbskull Brown lording it at Hampden. His imminent pain itself should be a motivation for everyone associated with Rangers. He really does illustrate how far Scottish football has fallen

I also note that the antics of their resident thug Brown have been overlooked by the MSM. If that was Alfie behaving like that there would be an avalanche of editorials and pundit opinions. Oh and while we are at it... has the MSM mentioned their fans pyro welcome for their team at Hampden? No social distancing and flares...tut tut

If you want to talk about a group of games, It's going to be about a strongest XV11

    - If Jack comes back in then you have a natural and solid option to rotate

    - Barisic has to start all games

    - Aribo needs minutes and an opportunity to get back to form because he is a gamechanger and we need to see at least one of him or Kent get back to early season form

    - Hagi is effective and merits minutes

    - Roofe can't be flogged

    - Alfie (for some he's just had his best two games of the season) remains first choice, let's see how he goes tonight

    - Itten will play a part

    - Balogun will probably get starts

    - There will probably be injuries

    - Zungu is an option although if Jack returns and Davis stays fit, he won't be starting in these next few games

    - Could Jones or Middleton yet be the Wingers who came in from the cold ?

I do love a Middleton corner swinging in. The trajectory reminds me of being frozen on Dartmoor watching 1 in 1 tracer rounds illuminating the night sky.

It's the Management that need to get it right..........Horses for Courses

Good points Buster but I feel we need to think about the XI who are going to start the game, set the tempo and ultimately get a stranglehold on the game. Our tempo has dipped over the last few games IMO and we need to go for it from the first whistle. Subs are great (Saturday being a great example) but it also signifies that the starting XI have fallen below recent high standards. I'd rather our subs are coming onto to the pitch with us in a winning position tbh
