I appreciate the concerns the OP raises and see the point made but the one thing I would say is that a couple of our main stars will get even better. While tav, waghorn, Halliday and holt may not walk into the 09 starting XI today, they certainly would do soon. Plus, with better players in certain positions (the spine as many have already pointed out) I'm sure the whole team would improve even more

Two top additions. The starting 11 is starting to take shape. Wouldn't be surprised if we pick up a few more before Saturday. Holt and Eustace seem likely, maybe Allan too. Still could do with another striker in my eyes.

Clark and hardie would get my vote but warbs will surely get someone else in up front. Our options are currently Clark hardie Gallagher and Miller. Hardly a force to be reckoned with. I do think (read hope) warbs will get something extra out of Clark but I think it may be too soon to expect any of the youngsters to be banging 15 plus goals in regularly next season. Would love to be proved wrong though

Id happily take him. Strong season at hearts and has the leadership potential to be a future captain. Could well captain the side this season but I guess that depends on who else is brought in by warburton

Warburton is a top shout imo. Top reputation south of the border and did exceptionally well at Brentford considering they were challenging the big boys of the championship in Watford, Bournemouth etc etc. I'd love cathro to come but he'd have to work under a DoF due to his age and inexperience. However I do think he could change the fabric of the club and bring a continental set up to the club. Really really hope we stay far away from mcinnes or another Scottish based manager. We need to look outside this wee country of ours
