There's about 20 - 25 of us highlanders coming over Pete. We don't think we'll get tickets but watching the game in kilts is a great way to break up a drunken stag weekend !!

So long as Walter or Ally take him to one side and warn him about the atmosphere and hatred every time he goes to take a throw-in. I'm sure Hinkel will try to wind him up aswell. He fair dived in on that Milan right back last week, worrying but at least he showed he's not scared of the physical side of the game !

I've heard that before it was covered in snow it actually resembled a cow field !!

Apologies, never noticed this thread, I replied to Chic's thread in the lounge. Chic Young on Tennis...............hmmmmmm ????

I saw what I hope was just a momentary trial against AC Milan last week, a bl00dy 4-5-1 which we used to scrape our way all the way to the UEFA cup final. I sincerely hope that Walter doesn't plan that against them on Sunday. I hope he remembers the 4-4-2 which saw us tank them 4-2 on their own pitch earlier in the season. Now there are arguments on who will start up front or on the left. If he feels Fleck isn't ready for the pressure of an old firm just yet then will he deploy Lafferty, McCulloch or Beasley on the left, or:- McGregor Broadfoot Bougherra Weir Papac Davis or Naismith Mendes Fergie Davis or Naismith Miller Boyd I thought Naisy had a great game against Milan and tracked back well too. Now Davis is our obvious choice on the right with Novo being out injured so could Naisy be the surprise famous Old Firm draft which Walter usually surprises us with at the last minute ?? Could Davis perhaps do a shift on the left midfield to accomodate Naisy on the right ?? Interesting scenario, would of course love to see the young Fleck torment Hinkel to death but do we really know what's going on in Walter's mind and isn't it nice to have a number of options on the left if needed, let's not forget Charlie Adam hasn't technically left the club yet and Kevin Thomson is still to return from injury. When have we had so much choice in a squad for the left flank ? Other teams must be a tad jealous ! With regards to the Kenny Miller argument, I think his work-rate is second to none, he may not score twice there like he did earlier in the season but if he sets up Boyd, then so be it !!!! MON THE TEDDY BEARS !!!

Hey Colin, did you like my email which I accidentally sent to the whole of WH Smiths, quality !
-
His tackle the other night on the Milan right-back suggests he could be.............lol What a tackle, nearly destroyed the boy ! Hope if he starts against the tattie-munchers next weekend that he keeps a cool head !
-
I have watched a few of these matches and can't believe some of the tackles that go unpunished, it cracks me up. Can you imagine the foreign players in our leagues now on the end of some of these tackles, they'd be rolling on the ground ten times over..........lol There wasn't so much protection for the goalkeepers back then either, broken ribs the lot !!
-
Fair play if they do get him but I don't think he'll sign personally, he'll go to the Championship first I reckon. He may be a bit older nowadays but he took one hell of a free kick when he played for Leeds and Rep of Ireland !!
-
If Ossie gets the job and I see him out in town then I will get a photo for Gersnet, me and some Argentinian legend. Why would he want to take over a club who are second best in the highlands to the mighty Ross County......woop woop !! Oh and their star player is coming to the Gers next year anyway, aren't you wee Don ! (aka Chipper)

What a match, difficult to concentrate on a pub quiz when such a game is taking place, unlucky Burnley, you gave it everything ! Owen Coyle for Scotland........lol
-
Frankie/Cammy, any word on KT ? How long do we think he's out for ? Any improvement ?
-
I'd say play him, he's youthful, fast and not afraid to get stuck in. None of this old Craig Brown Scotland-stuff where he only played players at the age of 28-30 ! I think he could do real damage against the sheep on Saturday. :box:
-
Not to mention the fact that it was broadcast all over the papers up here a few months back that he got involved in a 3-some !! Two guys, one girl, was it really a spit-roast Mr B ???
-
We better not sit back in the first half like we did against ICT and St.Johnstone. Both of those teams had far too many shots on target for my liking and we can't afford to do that with Lee Miller in such fine form. I want us to be more positive in the first half and go at them !!
-
I'm not celebrating anything, not when we play them next week up there, they are playing good stuff at the moment and will give it 110% against us as usual !
-
I don't know.............lol I just like saying their name because it brings out the flem that's stuck my throat !
-
The highland derby will be back on the cards next season, Ross County v ICT Mon the staggies !!!
-
Auchinleck Talbot !
-
I think they are actually playing really good attractive football at the moment to be honest and probably deserve to finish third. The big lad Daly up front is a real handful, Willo Flood is quite a decent wee player too !
-
Lennon clearly did something to bait the boys, it's a shame they couldn't have just used their wit to rip it back out of him tho, they were clearly drunk to the eyeballs and just lashed out.

I'm going to sit on the fence myself, Murray's reign at Ibrox should perhaps come to an end sooner rather than later. He said we're not in financial bother but yet we have to sell , Boyd, Fergie, Bougherra or McGregor ?? I am deeply respectful of what he's done for the club over the years though and at times with not a lot in the purse and other times there has been £12M spent on one player which was a risk and could at the same time have probably bought an entire squad of players and pay them for 6 months. If Murray is to stay then we may be in safer hands than some newbie chairman on a power trip who only wants to line his/her own pockets, then again if a multi million pound business man from the middle east, far east or the USA comes along....................?!?!?!

Looks like Spurs are already in the final for me after a 4-1 win, can't see Burnley winning 3-0 or 4-0 at home. Spurs seem to be really liking this cup, probably there only realistic chance of silverware again this season, saying that, they are still in the UEFA cup aren't they ?
-
If we sell Boyd then Walter has already given up on the title, defeatism at it's best, a man who's goal for games ratio is second to none in our league, a man who may be lazy off the ball and doesn't produce the magic in big games however, he will always score double the amount of goals than anyone else in our whole squad. If it's goodbye Boyd then it's goodbye title for me !!
