  1. I know Butland is an excellent shot-stopper and he has been terrific, but his style doesn't quite suit what we need, which is a sweeper-keeper. I wouldn't be unhappy if he was sold.
  2. RANGERS can confirm Chief Executive Officer, James Bisgrove, will leave the club having accepted a new football role in the Middle East. https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/rangers-announce-departure-of-james-bisgrove/3AkG7tgNAM1Ug6u379jQ83
  3. Hear me out: Kieran Tierney? Perfect for the vacated treatment table role.
  4. Second clip:
  5. Don't know where to put this, but thought it was funny:
  6. It may well be that he doesn't have the mental fortitude to play for Rangers. The facts are that he didn't have many good goalscoring chances with us - even that open goal (I can't remember who it was against?) was a difficult chance because the ball was too far in front of him before he could get to it. His chances were mostly long range. His xG was only 4 (he scored 2) in the league. Todd Cantwell, in a similar position has an xG of 5 from double the games. Dessers, played as the #9, has a full-season xG of 19 (he scored 16). Now we've seen him do well for Utrecht as a #9: 10 goals from an xG of 9. I'm not saying he's the messiah, like Josh Windass, merely that he'd have a better return if he was played as a striker, rather than a #10 or on the wing.
  7. You often get players that are good passers, for example, playing in Europe at centre-back or as a deep-lying playmaker. They come to the UK and our dinosaurs think, 'oh - he can pass a bit, let's put him in the hole', and then wonder why it doesn't work out.
  8. Wikipedia: "[Bartram] got his national breakthrough with AGF in the top-flight Danish 1st Division championship as a left-sided attacking midfielder, and helped the club win the 1986 1st Division championship." "[Bartram] signed for Scottish club Rangers, but his stay was a short one. He was assured by Rangers manager Graeme Souness that he would fit into his tactics, but found himself deployed as a strictly defensive full back." Poor fit, or not used properly?
  9. He hasn't been injured, as far as I can see - it's just the nature of the Argentine league, which is split up. Fbref, I believe, don't have data for every competition.
  10. Galdames looks to be an extremely defensive LB (played CB once). I have always wondered if Clement will transition us into a 3-4-3, which he liked at Brugge. Galdames would fit into a back-three.
  11. I liked the profile of Cordoba, but I always thought he looked extremely clumsy on the clips I saw.
  12. I plan to run a Euro 2024 prediction league, as is tradition now. A simpler and shorter game. Any interest?
  13. Probably for the best.
  14. Bluedell (2.11) and T-1000 (1.96) had the best points-per-game (ppg) scores, which is impressive considering they both missed 4 games. FA1833 (1.65) and Stewarty (1.60) played very few games, but their ppg would get them into the top 10-12 if they played all games. Seven Maximums from Bluedell is just ridiculous. The second best tally is a group of seven with 2! Yorkie Bear, Ted McMinnime and 26th of foot were the best at hitting the Correct Result, with 41 each. Onevision, Lenny3k and Mack1950 were quite strong on this metric. Bluedell (22) and Ted McMinnime (20) were best at getting the Correct Number of Rangers Goals. Malangsob gets into the top 10 in this metric. Bluedell and Rousseau top the First Rangers Goalscorer charts, with 14. Graeme and SBG were also strong scorers in this metric. There was a group of four (Bluedell, T-1000, Yorkie Bear and 26th of foot) topping the Correct Score charts, with 9. BEARGER was a strong performer, too.

  16. Erm... I forgot. What are your thoughts?
  17. Let me get over this season first...
  18. Third post. First in two years. All three on the exact same subject. Strange, but nothing inherently wrong with it.
  19. Transfermrkt has his Goals per 90 at 0.95, but I'm not sure about their data. Dessers this season has 0.42 G/90, for comparison.
