  1. Is it really necessary to be insulting. You could have had a perfectly reasonable discussion but you had to add that in.
  2. I honestly don't see it. Our last few interims, outwith Ferguson, have been: Steven Davis, Graeme Murty (x2), Jimmy Nicholl, Stuart McCall, Kenny McDowall, Ian Durant. I share your dissatisfaction with Ferguson, but the irony is he probably has the most managerial experience out of those when they were put in charge, outwith McCall's 3 year spell at Motherwell. I was very much expecting an appointment like this - hence the reason why I would have preferred to keep PC until the summer.
  3. Apparently he waved half his pay-off.
  4. Apparently Ferguson has arrived at Auchinhowie in an orange Ford Ranger. Staunch.
  5. Possibly. It's just my opinion. I'd prefer PC to Barry Ferguson.
  6. I wanted him gone myself - at the end of the season. As outlined elsewhere, we're in the middle of a takeover, we're searching for a DoF and we're conducting a club review. It doesn't make sense, to me, to appoint a permanent manager now, so keeping PC around was a necessary evil. The alternative is Barry Ferguson.
  7. Your speculation shows a lack of foresight...
  8. A temp for two months? No. It's generally club men that are appointed - often with even less experience than Barry's 8 years (iirc?) in management.
  9. You seem to be comparing Ferguson with an actual manager. Barry is a temp.
  10. I am very much enjoying the fallout from the appointment(s). You get what you deserve. Seriously - it couldn't have been a permanent appointment given the off-field situation, so who else would be an interim for a couple of months?
  11. I don't think that would be coached by the goalkeeping coach. I was under the impression that they join the rest of the group for build-up play because it's a team task.
  12. I'm surprised that so many are surprised by this. Who else was going to come in for a couple of months?
  13. It's depressing, but I don't think it matters; It's temporary. We just need to get through it.
  14. Rangers CEO, Patrick Stewart, commented: “Philippe and his team have worked tirelessly during their time in at the club and have played an important role in developing the first team’s young players. “I want to reiterate, the issues we are facing run deeper than the manager. The ongoing football review seeks to address those issues, and we will continue to implement its findings in the coming weeks and months ahead of appointing a new, permanent manager. “When I spoke to RangersTV last week, I was clear that everyone is judged on results, and nobody will get unlimited time in any role at the club. Ultimately, the team’s response following their early exit from the Scottish Cup was a cause for deep concern, leading the board to conclude that action had to be taken now. “I want to wish Philippe every success in the future. He is a fine man whom I have enjoyed working with in my short time here so far. “I also want to welcome Barry back to the club. We appreciate him and his team stepping into the role at this difficult time. Myself, the board and the executive team will give them our full support for the rest of the campaign.” https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/club-statement-managerial-team-appointed/2xZknM1DGOk0LFQhsbEGB2
  15. RANGERS Football Club can today announce Hall of Fame member and former club captain, Barry Ferguson, is to become Head Coach of our men’s first team until the end of the season. Ferguson, who won five league titles, five Scottish Cups and five League Cups across two spells at Ibrox, will be joined by coaches Issame Charai, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor. https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/club-statement-managerial-team-appointed/2xZknM1DGOk0LFQhsbEGB2
  16. I partly agree - hence why I think we should have kept PC until the summer. But now that he's gone, surely it's even more of a lack of foresight to make a permanent decision now when we've got takeover talks, a search for a DoF, and a club-wide review in the works?
  17. I'm still of the opinion that it is a mistake to sack him now. I would have waited until the summer.
  18. You keep mentioning this, but isn't it better that we're a basket case? They've then got value to add. There's a reason they're not looking at buying Them.
  19. With takeover talks, a search for a DoF, and a club-wide review in the works - not to mention having nothing to play for - any permanent appointment would be short-sighted in the extreme.
  20. Clement's full tenure, xG vs xGA. xG and xGA got worse, albeit slightly, the longer he was here.
