  1. I wouldn't mind us going down the Shaktar Donetsk route and sign loads of brazilians to play up front, with a spine of British players. Hopefully Pedro has a few contacts...
  2. He's only half-way decent when he's in a compact system, with FB's tucked in and 4/5 compact midfielders in front of him. We don't/can't play that way.
  3. Clint's leaving? Good professional; I wish him well.
  4. Pete -- was there not a popular outcry for a younger coach, rather than the old tried-and-tested? I was expecting someone younger, fresher, but you can't get any more tried-and-tested than Dick!
  5. It was a straightforward 4-3-3, albeit with a few players playing in different roles - Windass and Miller were playing quite deep.
  6. Awww... shame.
  7. Exactly; 4 clean-sheets in his 7 games. The last time we kept a clean-sheet was January. And that's with Bates and Beerman in the back-four.
  8. Actually, I am. I'll post it again: And, actually, I did a quick calculation and it turns out Pedro's record is better than both Murty and Warburton, so "gone backwards" is a complete fallacy. Murty picked up 1 point-per-game, Warburton 1.7 ppg, but Pedro has picked up 2 ppg.

  10. With all due respect, I think your blinkered by your dislike of PC, which I just don't understand considering he's just in the door.
  11. I think the managers ideas are better suited to better players. The only criticism I have of PC just now is that he's changing tactics too much, with players that are just too rubbish to execute them. The season is a write-off, so I'm glad to see PC giving the youngsters a go. We've been saying it all season: we need a massive clear-out and upgrade in every position; the manager can't do anything about that just now. I thought Garner was good today. He didn't get much service, but when we did he won everything, both in the air and into feet; and a good finish for the goal.
  12. A few good scores today. Everyone who entered gained 1 point of the Correct Result - except Frankie...!! Cooponthewing, rbr, BEARGER, BH, YB, 26th, PJ_1872, SBS, StuGers, Yorkie, Gribz and Lenny3k gained another point for Correct Number of Rangers goals. No one had McKay as FGS Finally, Cooponthewing, BEARGER, BH, YB, 26th, PJ_1872, SBS and Lenny3k gained another 3 points for the Correct Score! We have a new leader in Yorkshire Bear (YB)! 13. Unbelievable finish to the game. It still papers over the cracks, though.
  14. Windass would be better in Miller's role, with Waghorn removed altogether. Anyone know where the youngsters play, on the bench?
  15. We started ok, then we concede a silly counter and now any ball into our box is causing us trouble. The heads have went down. Embarrassing. The long ball was working, but we haven't taken advantage of it. Garner has won everything in the air. It's a 4-2-1-3, which suits our forwards, but they're just rubbish. I like Windass, but I don't like him beside Holt; there's no strength there. What's the alternative? Halliday? I'm not sure that would work any better.
  16. Partick 1 - 3 Rangers FGS Garner
  17. Published the preview with Rangers as the home team... Almost as bad as coop heading to the bus stop a day early! Now corrected. Apologies.
  18. Sorry I'm a bit late, but that's it your preview published Pete!
  19. I love watching Juventus; well-drilled, tactically proficient, clinical and love to defend.
  20. Is is bad that I'd take them all (apart from Whittaker, obviously)?

  22. Ah... I wasn't aware of the fixtures they had. I think it'll come down to how they do against Crystal Palace and West Brom -- they'll both with against Sunderland and lose against Spurs and Everton respectively -- which I can see them losing and winning tbh. Fascinating run-in!
  23. I think in this case it was PC himself in the after-match interview; they've obviously ran with it, though. I agree with the sentiment.
