I know very little about them or their board. From my point of view they're well run only in so far as we have given them a free run at the title and CL for 13 years; a good chunk of that time was outwith our control. More recently because we haven't invested wisely. I think it is as simple as just spending money more wisely. We should have won the league last year.

I don't think it is as simple as that. It's all about spending it wisely. We have a higher wage bill than them - correct me if I am wrong? - we've just squandered it. They still have to spend their profits wisely, which is no guarantee. I don't believe Rodgers has a great track record in that regard?

We just need some new additions. A #10 transforms the side, IMO. Of course, we're skint so we have to sell first.

Apologies - I thought you were taking the piss. It's the average positions from the whole match. You will never get a lot of players' average position in the box. Even Man City dominating 90% possession won't have players in the box. Here is one of Man City (probably an old one), for example: I posted the Rangers one because we had a couple suggesting we should stop playing a 4-2-3-1 and push a 6 up to play as two 8s. That position chart shows exactly that: Diomande is clearly playing further forward than Barron. It looks more of a 4-1-4-1.

From what I've seen, pressing and direct wing play. My point was that Dessers is mostly just a penalty box striker. Not a bad thing in itself, but I think we would perform better as a team with a forward that has a different skillset, like leading a press and facilitating wing play with linkup play and clever movement.

Amortisation is not something we usually take into consideration, but I think you're correct.

You've made two points around loss. An 800k loss is better than a £5m loss. I did concede it would be a risk. I think we could replace him, though; with someone more suited to the way we want to play.

It would be a risk but financially we should take it, IMO. To just lose 800k on a 30-year-old rather than £5m is a no-brainer.
