England's team selection shouldn't be an issue because they did enough to win the game; they just couldn't put it in the net -- sound familiar?

I thought Dier was quite impressive. He does a good defensive job, but I think his passing into the final third was excellent -- reminded me of Carrick's pin-point vertical passing.

A pretty dull couple of games, that were fairly difficult to predict.

Romania-Albania stumped the all of us except BEARGER, who picked up 1 point for predicting the Albania win.

The Switzerland-France game also stumped the majority of us, except buster., Little General, Whosthedado and Yorshire Bear, who pick up 1 point for predicting the draw; Whosthedado went one better, gaining full points for correctly predicting the 0-0 draw.

My prediction is screwed...

I'm sad to admit, I've been googling pictures of the three possible players for the last 5-10 minutes and I think it's Mariappa.

I know the Nelson rumour has been circulating for a few weeks, but when I saw that Mariappa had been released by Crystal Palace I thought he could be a likely target because of the Watford link.

I think it's hilarious we can't work out whom it is! Mariappa, Nelson, Roofe... we've not got a scooby!

That synchronised chant from the Iceland fans is quite amazing, and terrifying in its own way. It's like some kind of Viking war chant. Awesome.

To be fair, the Hungarian fans have a good rebuttal too, with their synchronised clapping. It's a great to and fro between both sets of fans.

I'd love to hear something like either at Ibrox!

Looks a promising game, going by the first few minutes. Both sides are quite expansive in their set-up.

I'm looking forward to a much more 'open' game between Iceland and Hungary. Both were underdogs in their first games, and as a result were defensively orientated; it should be a more even contest today.

I'm worried about my Iceland win prediction, though: it looks like it's an Iceland 4-4-2 against a Hungary 4-3-3; It'll be interesting to see how the formations work against each other.
