  1. It would appear so. It's a shame, as I think he could do a job -- we're not exactly flush with forwards either! Hopefully he works hard and perhaps forces his way into contention. He's still young. I'd like to see Burt get some game time too, if he can push on.
  2. Hopefully we do see more of players like McCrorie; those who have the physicality to deal with the Scottish game, but also have the technique.
  3. That does seem a bit strange. However, the break should allow them to deal with it.
  4. JohnMc agrees with one of my posts?
  5. Oh no! I came up with the same response as Pete... that can't be good.
  6. 7-10 days.
  7. I suppose that's what the Winter break is all about: giving the players a rest, both physically and mentally -- hopefully with the latter they can get over their Ibrox hoodoo, although I don't want to jinx it! The most important thing is we get them back to full fitness for the next League game.
  8. Oh well; that lasted long...
  9. I agree he had problems, personally, psychologically, etc., but he wasn't a "lazy bast**d". Anyway... agree to disagree.
  10. How does that work? 'I've not seen X, therefore Y'!
  11. Again, Arfield is a good player: an established PL player. Terrific signing. But he's just too old. I'm wondering if this is a deliberate ploy, though? Perhaps we're looking at improving the first-team over the next year; just to knock us up a level. These names will certainly do that, but they're not long-term signings. It's funny how we're all looking at their re-sale value and age, but not at what they can bring to the team now. Will Docherty be able to improve the team now? I'm not sure. Will Arfield? Yes. Will Kevin McDonald? Yes. But we don't want them! We're hardly known for our patience either!
  12. I saw nothing to suggest he "wasn't for applying himself", or "wasn't particularly interested or bothered in applying himself". I saw him laughing and joking, fitting in with teammates in training, and working hard on the pitch. He's lost his touch, though; his control is terrible; and not the quickest. As TB said, his goals-to-games ratio is superb, and his knack of finding space is second-to-none. And 'short-gate' ( ) is just a made-up story; nothing in it at-all. It took me several views to see what people we up in arms about.
  13. I would like to see "Heid Yin" on his business cards.
  14. A "major role"? That's his job (the football operation).
  15. It looks like the positive influence of the DoF.
  16. Having to wade through Craig's love-in made me miss that we've appointed a Coach too, to take on Murty's former role, at least until the end of the season.
