  1. I think Windass has been good: that ball to Candeias, who set up Morelos, was superb! I do think we need more in the centre -- it's whether we do that at the expense of the wing-play?
  2. I don't think they deserve that at all.
  3. I don't think we've been bad, just sloppy in places.
  4. We've passed up some good opportunities, though...
  5. How does that sneak in? Fod's bad for those types of slip-ups.
  6. A bidding war sounds fantastic! Fingers crossed for £40m!
  7. Shhhh... don't jinx it! They up their game against us and have a 12th man in black on their side -- it won't be easy.
  8. Of course! He's a solid defender, loves heading the ball and clearing his lines. His distribution is abysmal, but that's nothing we didn't know already; he can always get better but I doubt he'll ever be good. You need defenders that can defend, and he's as good as anyone in the League.
  9. Looks like Kranjcar as No.10, and Windass out wide-left? Looking forward to seeing Cummings get a start.
  10. It's a win-win situation for us: we get a good amount of money, or we keep our top scorer for a few more months. Happy with either outcome.
  11. When you get excited about all the McBurnie rumours only see he signed for Sunderland...
  12. McBurnie is not a good replacement, as he is not a goal-scorer; he's a target-man, which may be a good foil for our crossers but he's not a great replacement for Morelos IMO. He's older than Morelos (I think?), but in many ways behind him. I would suggest the majority have no idea what he's like but want him because of his 'staunch' credentials -- as someone else stated above, I think? He's a promising players, and I'd love to have him on our books, but he's not a replacement for Morelos.
  13. Kai Naismith never done much with us, even in Division 3. He's playing well in League Two, but I don't think we lost anything there. But, Fleck was a real talent; he played a few games for us in the SPL. We were too impatient with him -- he left when he was 20! Were we really expecting him to stroll about like a top-quality, first-team player at that age?! I was astonished we let him go at the time; I'm still a wee bit miffed. I do note that he has been playing deeper than he ever did with us. He's still only 26: I'd take him now!
  14. It's quite satisfying that we're able to turn down an £8m bid! (What was it, £3.7 for Dembele...? )
  15. I'm more tempted by £8m than I ever was with £6m -- £6m is not enough IMO -- but I think we should be looking for closer to £10m. It is getting close to being too much to turn down.
  16. Aubamayeng's flight when he seen the Arsenal score against Swansea...
  17. £6M is too low, for the value he provides to our team. It's bigger than the reported bid for Dumbele...
  18. I thought he was poor, but, overlooking the subjectivity, his energy in the middle is crucial for us; his constant pressing, running is what drives us, and in that first-half he was at the heart of most of our good play; and he even assisted Candeias -- which doesn't mean too much because Candeias makes the goal himself, but Windass finds him in space with a nice reverse ball. Just because he's not an aggressive, "battling" player doesn't mean he's anonymous or disinterested. Those criticisms are too subjective for me to hold any weight. Not tracking back is a valid criticism, but I don't think he was required to do as much playing where he is.
  19. Because his work-rate is second-to-none. He was poor today, though; decision-making was poor and his execution let him down too.
