  1. There were a few noteworthy performances.

PJ_1872, Gribz and StuGers performed very well considering they started later than the rest, with Gribz in particular gaining the most Correct Number of Ranges Goals.

The top 5 tended to pick out the most FGS, with myself ahead in that regard.

However, Yorkshire Bear was far away the best at predicting the Correct Score with 10; SBS and 26th of Foot were not far behind with 7 a piece.

BH and SBS were definitely the luckiest of buggers picking up the most bonus points... :D

  2. Our mental fragility is worrying, but aside from that, it was a good performance. The youngsters look very good: I was impressed with Barjonas and Wilson, who never put a foot wrong, and Bates was solid enough again. Beerman got done too often early on but I think he improved as the game went on.

St Johnstone are a well-drilled, physical side, but outwith that early spell, I didn't feel like they out-muscled us too much.

Alnwick was good; aggressive in the air and not as powderpuff as Fod.

I think this is how PC wants us to play: Quick transitions, good link-up play and aggressive. If we can get some quality additions to complement what we have, then I'm optimistic about the future. Easier said than done, though...

  3. Excellent scoring round!

Everyone except Frankie, 26th, Mack1950 and Gribz gained 1 point for the Correct Result.

Pete, Whosthedado, gunslinger, BH, YB, Craig, TB, compo, Mack1950, SBS and StuGers gained another 1 point for the Correct Number of Rangers Goals.

Rousseau, Pete, gunslinger, onevision, BH, YB, Craig, Mack1950, Bearman, SBS, StuGers and Gribz gained 2 points for Miller as FGS.

And finally, Pete, Whosthedado, BH, YB, Craig, TB, SBS and StuGers gained another 3 points for the Correct Score!

  4. Looks to me more like a 4-3-1-2, or 4-2-2-2 which has been quite good. The interplay after that first nervous 25 minutes or so has been top class; Windass, Miller and Toral's link-up especially has been very good. It's the final ball - Tavernier especially has been guilty of wasting good opportunities. Waghorn is better when he's moving and running at a defence, not holding it up, which is strange for a man built like a fridge!?

The youngsters do not look out of place at all - does that mean they're good prospects or an indictment on the rest of the team? Pleased to see Wilson blootering someone.

  5. Well Rousseau, down to the last game.

It's been nip and tuck with us since around Christmas.

This is my last selection as I won't be competing next season.

    Here goes.

    St.Johnstone 1-2 Rangers

    F.G.S Miller

    May the best man win,Rousseau.

You sneaky B******! I'll need to change my prediction now; you win if we have the same prediction!! :D

Screw it! 2-3 Rangers! same FGS.

  6. I think Naismith would be similar to Miller's role now... but better. He's not a goalscorer, he's not a wide man per se, and he's not even a natural No.10, he just sort of floats about the front line.
