  1. .

Yes in terms of Luxembourg, BUT and it's a big BUT.....

It may have escaped your attention that Cypriot football has been on the up for many years and their clubs' performances have put them 5-10 places ahead of Scotland in the UEFA coefficient country rankings for the 6 years up to 2016 and just one place behind us last season.

Apollon Limassol qualified for the group stages of the EL two years running: in 2013/14 after defeating Nice 2-0 at home in the play-off round and 2014/15 after quite probably one of the most astonishing results ever, in Europe certainly in the qualifiers, beating Lokomotiv Moscow 4-1 in Moscow for a 5-2 aggregate.

Apollon Limassol is anything but a formality.

We're not playing Apollon Limassol - we're playing AEL Limassol.

However, your point stands: Cypriot sides are no push-overs; APOEL have done very well over the last few years.

  2. For me, McKay is superior to any other player we have - except Kranjcar. He may not have had the desired impact in terms of goals and assists, but this clip shows it's not his fault. He puts it on a plate time after time; those passes against hearts were sublime, and then we have Waghorn to "finish". I've posted this before, but it shows how important McKay can be - if he has better players around him.

  3. I thought he was a bit clumsy, but TB's right, he cruised it so we haven't learned much. If anything, I learned he's very good in the air, but that was known anyway. Everything that came near him in the air was 'blootered' back up the pitch; not something we've had in a while.

It was nice to see a Rangers player in a top international side, playing alongside Ronaldo.

  4. Wikipedia is a good resource, but you have to be critical with it.

The OP is just a bit of a laugh. I recall someone changed one of the Mexican player's middle name to 'likes a sash', or some such. It's just a bit of fun.
