I've given you at least two possible reasons.

I mean, Chelsea can't really afford not to sell those players, and more, with PSR rules, but I take your point. It's not uncommon for players to be frozen out. Like I posted above, I still get the impression Hagi doesn't fit in with what Clement wants, like mobility. Just because he's paid a lot doesn't mean we should shoehorn him in, to the detriment of the team - Davies would play every game if that was the case.

I've always said that Hagi isn't mobile enough for a Clement player, IMO. He did have Hagi available for a chunk of time when he arrived but never used him that much. I might be wrong as he was injured around that time, too, wasn't he? It's a combination of that and the increase in wages that is causing this scenario.

There's nothing farcical about it. We don't want to pay the money or we don't want them around. Lukaku and Sterling don't play for Chelsea because they want rid of them. Osimhen is not playing for Napoli because he wants to leave. Juventus are not playing Chiesa because they want rid of him. Sancho is not playing for Man Utd because they want rid of him. It's not uncommon.
