Man City are only pulling out on principle -- fair enough, but it is a business; it's also a bit arrogant: 'we've got Guardiola, we're pretty much guaranteed a title, come to us for less money'; Why!? The player was thought to have made a deal with them, informally. However, if Man Utd offer more money, why would Arsenal accept a lower offer, and why would the player accept less money?
Gary Neville, on MNF, was suggesting it would cost them £100 Million anyway, with wages etc.; that's still cheap for Sanchez, even at 29, in this market.
I agree Man Utd would be a bad move; it just doesn't suit his game, playing for Mourinho.

Couple of quick questions?
Can the twitter feed on the main page be hidden again like previously?
For unread threads is the only way to mark them unread is to do it manually? (Previously if you logged out the threads unread in that session would become read)
Thanks
Are all our ramblings not good enough for you!?
There's a 'mark site as read' link at the bottom of the page.

Are we likely to see Martin and Cummings announced tomorrow?
Martin has his medical tomorrow, so I think so.
I thought Jason 'Cumdog' Cummings would be announced tonight.

Give them MOH in exchange, and if not, leave it. He won't be an automatic first-team pick anyway.

What an absolute nightmare of a time!

Rangers: 350k for Jones?
Killie: No.
Rangers: 350k + MOH?
Killie: No.
Rangers: ... Can you take him anyway?
Killie: No.
Rangers: Please...

Typical problems when dealing with Scottish clubs!, they would accept the offer if it wasn't Rangers!
Seems to be the case. We wouldn't have got Cummings from Hibs for 600k!

so did we win the cup, have a share in it or what?
I think we're guaranteed to share it with some other team.
Barcelona (not that Barca!) and Nacional can still get 6 points too.

Nope. On a thread asking if TBB Is banned I see no reason to bring ones political predujuces into it.
I'm not arguing with that -- I agree. I'm stating it happens from both sides of the political spectrum, on many different threads.

Goes both ways, though; doesn't it.

Yes, Liverpool are always strong against teams that play against them; it's the lesser teams that sit in where they struggle.

Some of his extra curricular activities were a bit questionable. Hopefully the stint in Nottingham has seen him mature.
Now that you mention it, I do recall some of those extra-curricular activities making their way onto Twitter...
Ah well... it's looks like he's now our t*t!

That Sun article is based on the above tweet!
Useless.

I'm not a fan of Cummings - more to do with his personality than his football ability though.
I think he'd score plenty for us though.
I always thought he was a bit of a t*t, but I think that came from his former team colours.

I dont recall us ever playing with a twin strike force under Murty. When we had the diamond did we not have Windass in behind Morelos? They didnt play as a twin strike force to my recollection?
Windass playing in the 10 slot has seen him produce his best football for us (still not good enough but so much better than when he plays in a wide area) but I havent ever seen him play as a striker the way Cummings or Morelos would. Unless you are thinking on someone else and I have gone a bit dizzy and cant remember!
Perhaps Windass did play off Morelos slightly, but to me it was still two up-top. Both switched in the role they played: one would play centrally, with one drifting a tad. It was fluid, I'll grant you, but I think it was a twin strike-force. To be honest, I don't think anyone plays with a old-fashioned twin strike force anymore. Even the great AC Milan side had Shevshenko and Inzaghi playing off one-another in their 4-3-1-2. Perhaps it's just semantics?
It would be even more of a twin strike force with Cummings; Windass does have a natural tendency to drift.

Giggs takes Wales job

I think I'm the only one who thinks this is a bad move? What's he done? It's the playing career that gets him in the door at most jobs -- not getting them ultimately -- but that doesn't mean he's going to make a good manager.
I suppose it is difficult to attract names to the Wales job.
