I think Butland comes out on top - except for errors, sweeping and accurate long balls. I thought Kelly would be better at High Claims, but there is nothing between them. And both don't sweep, which I've always thought quite important when your opponent's main danger is the counter.

I don't think it matters if he touches the ball or not; it's the movement towards it. We've seen this quite often.

I think the characteristics and styles you mention should be the remit of the recruitment department, not the manager. It should be taken out of the hands of the manager almost (they should have a little input) completely, IMO. I know not everyone feels this way.

The reason we couldn't upgrade 'McGregor, Barasic, Lundstram, Goldson, Jack, Morelos, Kent and [...] Roofe' was because we kept hold of them too long. We gave too much power to the manager (SG, GvB and MB) who wanted to keep them. If we had given the power to the DoF they would have been sold and we could have then re-invested. We're only half-way through a rebuild. The new manager should not be in control of this.

I think Lawrence, Balogun and Hagi (?) will be leaving in the summer as their contracts are ending. I'd put Butland, Propper and Yilmaz in the shop window. Possibly Sterling if he can't get fit. Hopefully Cifuentes and Matondo get picked up after their loans. I wouldn't release them. I'd try to renegotiate the Cortes deal. The rest are fine. I'm actually happy with the squad. It's down to bare bones now after getting rid of most of the high wage earners and injury prone. It's basically filled with young prospects, and solid performers. We've now got the breathing room to actually start rebuilding and strengthening.
