  1. Kamberi on for Halliday - Aribo back in at LB!!
  2. I'm past caring. If we turn up and play like this, we deserve all we get.
  3. Another bugbear of mine is our crossing. Brutal stuff. We're placing it too close to the 'keeper, or delicately drifting it into a packed box. No chance. Why can't we whip it in, or cut it back to the edge of the box?!
  4. HT, 1-0. We've been lively, buzzing away, but without any quality in the final third. St Johnstone have done nothing, other than a couple of long balls, and scoring from one of them. A wee bit of quality and it's a cricket score, IMO.
  5. I'd go 3-4-1-2: Kamberi - Morelos Hagi Arfield - Aribo - Jack - Tavernier Halliday - Katic - Goldson McGregor Bring Kamberi on for Kent, to get two strikers running off Hagi in his best, central position. Tavernier high and wide on the right, Arfield on the left. (Kent would be better wide left, but I just prefer Arfield's desire at the moment.)
  6. Why can't we hit the target from distance? We've created a few long-range chances, but every time the shot has been skied or scuffed wide. At least hit the target... FFS.
  7. I agree with you, but the irony is, the neat and tidy is the only way we've looked like scoring; when we've gone long, we've given up possession.
  8. There's just a real dearth of quality. It's so frustrating because they've got it in them. Aribo looks up for it. Along with Arfield, Hagi and Jack, they're the only ones who look like they can do something.
  9. What's annoying is, like most other diddy teams, we cant deal with their only offensive tactic which is the long ball. It should not this hard to deal with.
  10. It's actually been quite a lively start from us, to be fair. We're just lacking that bit of quality on the final ball.
  11. Not just today, he's been like this for a while.
  12. Long ball, Katic beaten, trips and can't recover; the St Johnstone lad slots it under McGregor's legs. 1-0.
  13. He refused Man Utd in January, there, because he thought Dortmund was better for his development. I think he'll be looking at Barca/Madrid. Liverpool may not be able to spend to money to get him, and he's better than Man Utd. Liverpool are looking at Timo Werner, who'll cost upwards of £60M.
  14. St Johnstone 1 - 2 Rangers FGS Arfield
  15. What was that Referee like with throw-in decisions!? Jeez. At one point the Braga lad passed it straight out, and they still got the throw-in.
  16. I think the 4-5-1 we were playing towards the end is the best way to defend against Braga, because it covers their Wing-backs. Our 4-3-3 was compact vertically, but their width completely negated that strength. Our press was terrible. We didn't cover their pivot, or the wingers. I think we made it far too easy for them. Of course, all that is secondary to the fact that we couldn't complete a simple pass all night until that quite remarkable transformation.
  17. It was the Stewart for Barisic sub that was the most bold -- Aribo was left playing LB!! I like Kamberi; a lot. I love Aribo. He gets a lot of criticism from fans mostly because of his languid style, but when he turns it on, he's phenomenal.
  18. Well... a lot of negative Nancies. Rousseau, Dado, compo, Les, One, BEARGER, Yorkie, Coop, Stevie, WB91, 26th, MacK, FS and TB gained 1 point for the Correct Result. Coop and FS gained 1 point for the Correct Number of Rangers Goals. Lenny and Franc gained 2 points for Hagi as FGS. No one had the Correct Score. Latest Standings:
  19. I don't care too much about the result -- although I'm buzzing and I'll enjoy the hell out of it -- but I mostly hope the players take a lot of much needed confidence from it; to try to get back to our best.
  20. This is hilarious. We are p*sh.
  21. 2 seconds of quality in the match and we score.
  22. 0-2 and I don't even care. I'm more concerned about our mental state.
  23. Good side; very good. To be honest, though, a wee bit of composure and we can score. Then we're right back in it. It is bizarre.
