  1. Lincoln Red Imps 0 - 4 Rangers FGS Kent
  2. BHA 5 - 0 Chelsea ?
  3. Yeah-- Johnson's 27. It's about quality. Docherty and McCrorie are not good enough.
  4. I'll reserve judgement until I see them tonight, and when they get all their new signings back fit, but I don't see it with Chelsea. They've strengthened on paper, but I don't rate Lampard, just yet. You can sign all the best players in the world and cobble them together into a team, but it doesn't then translate into improvement or success. I do think, in this country, we're to preoccupied with bringing in newer, better players to generate that improvement, rather than relying on the coaches to improve what's there and how they play. Arteta's -- too early to say transformed, but -- improved a rubbish Arsenal side, not by making big signings but by implementing his ideas on their style of play. Gary Neville has a bad habit of saying Man Utd just need a couple of big signings and they'll be up there challenging for the League. Nonsense. They'll get closer, but they need more than that.
  5. We have another two matches today: Sheffield Utd vs Wolves, and then Brighton vs Chelsea.
  6. Strange-- I wasn't convinced after watching the above clip: he looked slight, and only scored penalties or scuffed shots. I've now watched more clips and I think he looks better. He still looks quite slight -- I wonder how he'd cope with our League's physicality -- but has a bit of pace about him, and he likes to get into the box and/or take shots from distance. Maybe not a creative player, but one that likes to get on the end of things. Not a bad option to have.
  7. I think Arsenal will be in the mix, perhaps competing with MU and CHEL for the final spots.
  8. I've already made a batch of panic transfers...
  9. Tottenham-Everton could be an interesting one. Mourinho-Ancelotti. I think Tottenham will be stronger, though I don't see them scoring much. Ancelotti has had a little more time to bed in his ideas, and they've strengthened impressively, including Allan, Doucoure, and James Rodriguez.
  10. Liverpool need to strengthen. I don't see them hitting the same heights this year with the same squad.
  11. 3-2 after 30 minutes.
  12. I was going to say, I think Liverpool-Leeds will be a high scoring game. It's certainly started that way.
  13. Correct Result (1 pt): Everyone who entered. Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): One, WB91, Bill, Devil, gisabeer, Uilleam and FS. FGS (2 pts): One, compo, Stewarty, Yorkie, BD, Franc, BF, CammyF, FS, 26th and TB. Correct Score (3 pts): One, WB91, Bill, gisabeer, Uilleam and FS. Onevision and FS gained the Full 7 points. Latest Standings:
  14. [FT] 4-0 Can't complain... but I will: That should have been double figures!
  15. Deserved goal from Arfield. Good finish from Hagi's cut-back. Another sweeping move.
  16. That could be a red. He's stretching, never mind coming from behind.
  17. That touch from Roofe was exquisite. Arfield takes in on, nutmegs the defender and strikes it low into the far corner, but the 'Keeper gets a touch.
  18. Tom's just made a good point that the subs coming on have all done very well: Kamara, Arfield, Morelos and Bassey.
  19. Bassey just bulldozed his way through 6 or 7 players. Just ran out of space at the end.
  20. We've upped the tempo this second half and really have been terrific. It could so easily be 6 or 7.
  21. Another sweeping move, started by Kamara winning the ball back. A shot from Arfield -- maybe on target -- but Roofe stabbs it in to make sure.
  22. We're teeing it up time after time, but if the 'keeper doesn't get a touch, its wide.
  23. Smashed it at goal twice, from Hagi then Bassey, but 'Keeper saves well. As I type, Bassey had another headed chance. It could be 4 or 5.
