Hamilton has certainly had the best car over the last few years -- same with Schumacher -- but I think he's certainly the best driver of his generation. Damon Hill made the point that it's too difficult to compare drivers of different eras, because the cars and circumstances are too different.

Reminds me of Ozil. Ozil is/was an assist machine, but because of his relaxed approach and tendency to drift out of games, he was criticised.

Hagi was our main creative force during that first half, drifting out out it like the rest of them later on. Tavernier was excellent too: that assist to Defoe was pin-point. However, I think Davis was at the heart of that creativity early on too, and while the rest of them drifted out of it, he continued to graft when it got tough; he continued to probe but also covered us defensively too when we were a bit sloppy. Davis gets it, for me.

I like the look of Itten: he's got good stature and athleticism, but he's also got control, an eye for a pass and has a good strike on him. He's a little unlucky not to have had more minutes, but he does have Morelos, Roofe and Defoe to contend with.

That's a good point about the midweek game: it's bound to have affected us, so any win is a good result.

I really like those long passes in behind. They've not came to anything, but they're useful for switching it up, pushing them back when they get too compact.

Interesting; very interesting. Surprised to see Defoe start, but it's probably the best opportunity. He's very good at finding space in packed boxes -- which it'll inevitable be -- so he might suit this game. Kamara and Arfield probably deserve a wee rest. I'm not concerned in the lest to see Bassey replace Barisic - he's more than an able deputy and it's better if we don't take any risks with Borna. It's great to have Aribo back. It's quite exciting to have Kent, Hagi and Aribo in the same side today. We need to capitalise on their slip-up.
