  1. [HT] 1-1.

I don't think we've played badly at all.

They scored a lucky goal out of nothing, and, OK, we were a little sloppy in defending it too.

The tempo has been good for large spells, but we've not really created a clear-cut chance; all half-chances. And, we missed a penalty.

They're are a good side; difficult to play against.

The frustration has come from the piss poor Ref, and their time-wasting tactics.

  2. Scottish Premiership

    Sunday, 27th Oct 2019, 3:00pm

    Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow

AFTER claiming an important Europa League Group G point against Porto last night, Steven Gerrard wants his side to rise to another big challenge on Sunday when Motherwell come to Ibrox.

The Steelmen currently sit third in the Ladbrokes Premiership table and have yet to lose away from home in the league – having won three of their fixtures and drawn one on their travels.

Gerrard expects a tough test against Stephen Robinson’s men and when asked if he could make several changes to his starting eleven on the back of the midweek trip to Portugal, the manager replied: “We’ll freshen it up but it won’t be wholesale changes.

Amazing that Cyprus have climbed so high.

Yeah -- probably because APOEL, I think, have qualified for the CL group stage for a few years on the bounce.

Edit: Just had a look: they've qualified for the CL group stages 4 times in the last 10 years, including reaching the Quarter-finals! They've had a decent showing in the Europa League too.

Brilliant performance last night, only downside for me was that our substitutions although almost like for like seemed to weakens us.

Almost felt like 2 points dropped which is tough to say as we played so well.

I understand where you're coming from, but after that Swiss game, I'll take the point; we could have easily have let it slip away if it wasn't for a double save from McGregor, even if we deserved the win or not.

  5. Very proud of that performance.

Porto couldn't get the ball off us for the first 30 minutes of that second half; we passed through them with some delightful interplay.

Couple of glorious opportunities that we really have to take - like the swiss last time out - at this level.

I actually wrote these two matches off when the draw was made; but we can compete with this team, even if they perhaps weren't at their best.

We did need a wonderful save from McGregor to see it out. It's frustrating playing so well and still be in the situation where that one chance, however undeserved, ruins it for us.

We got the job done; brilliant point.
