  1. NO BAD JUJU! PLEASE! I can't take it...
  2. On the plus side, seeing Andy Walker's smile crumble as the goals came in was delightful.
  3. Jeez. I couldn't see the game so I was glancing every two seconds at SSN. That was a stressful afternoon. Any win will do, for me.
  4. They're on a very good run, but I still think they will fall away, for some reason. It's a weird season, though.
  5. Big Sam back with the baggies. Do we think they're staying up now?
  6. We only take First Rangers Goalscorer.
  7. I think superstition is nonsense too. I don't play the lottery either, but family members will play religiously, and then extra when their hand itches or they see a black cat. Nonsense. Until it comes to Rangers, and bad juju...
  8. Leeds always serve up a good display of attacking football. But, they tend to squander their chances. I thought the writing was on the wall after Newcastle scored. Same dominance, same inability to score, same sloppy goal conceded to a counter. I'm so pleased they turned it around.
  9. Rangers 5 - 0 Motherwell FGS Kent Reaction please, Rangers!
  10. I've been trying to temper expectations for a while. I was worried we were getting ahead of ourselves. Nothing has been won yet. We will get these games; we'll get more of them before the season ends. This is more of a scunner because it's a missed opportunity to win a trophy. St Mirren are a bit of a bogey side for us. I think we should remain calm and direct blame to where it's deserved: @ian1964's bad juju posts.
  11. Let's get this over with quickly... Correct Result (1 pt): - Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): Rousseau, Stevie, Yorkie, DJ, Devil, compo, CammyF, gaspard and 26th. FGS (2 pts): gaspard and Ted. Correct Score (3 pts): - Latest Standings:
  12. I don't think we are missing the fact that it's a tactical tweak. Morelos' game has shifted to accommodate that new role. He's working hard, he's contributing to the team performance, and he's getting chances. Clearly the manager sees that. The only thing that is disappointing is his goal-scoring: his confidence is shot in that regard. Your argument that others can do Morelos' role just as well is a fair enough opinion, but you seem to think we have 4 options for that one spot. We don't. Roofe plays in the wider (?) position, Kent on the other side. They play anyway. So, for Morelos' position, we have Defoe or Itten to come in. Defoe cannot play every game; he plays the odd game, and towards the end of games, and that's it. Itten can come in, but actually, he's not shown enough to warrant that spot -- until recently; He played well against Poznan and did well when he came on against Dundee Utd for the final few minutes. Your criticism is overblown.
  13. I thought we were about to commence the battle of the thread title...
  14. I think the "knee-jerk" reactions are in regards to the potential red card. It was a moment of stupidity. But, actually, outwith that, he composed himself well and dealt with everything those thugs threw at him. I'm not concerned about that. Moreover, in general, his performance was quite good; it continues his good team play. Again, I'm not worried about his performances. The Manager seems to agree, going by the post-match interview. My issue is his goal-scoring form, and lack thereof. I've been disappointed for a while. He missed a couple of good chances yesterday. It seems like his goal-scoring confidence and touch has deserted him at the moment. I just think a player like Defoe or Itten would have scored some of those chances. On the other hand, Defoe can't play every game, and Itten is a different style of player. Itten's played a bit recently and done quite well. I think these thoughts have been born out of @Bill's post, which has shone a spotlight on his form and position in the team. I wonder also if it's a reaction to the game itself, where it was really tight and stuffy. We're almost praying for someone to score rather than put in a good team performance. Morelos wasn't the only player to miss chances: Roofe missed a couple of good ones too, and Kent had an opportunity too, I think? It could have cost us points. In one sense, it is an knee-jerk reaction, to that particular game, but in Morelos' case, his goal-scoring form has been missing for a while. For me, maybe it's time to replace with someone who could score? It's a tricky one for the manager: you don't want to mess with what is a high-performing team.
  15. St Mirren 0 - 2 Rangers FGS Itten
  16. Woop! My woman's blouse outlook got me the Correct Score! Correct Result (1 pt): Everyone who entered. Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): Rousseau, Stevie, compo, GS and Ted. FGS (2 pts): BD, Ian, DJ and FS. Correct Score (3 pts): Rousseau. Latest Standings:
  17. Good win, Rangers! That was tough, but we've shown mental toughness to see that out.
  18. I've been very pleased with the way we've controlled it defensively this half. They've barely had a sniff.
