    New kit

But it's got a Walter Smith quote on the inside...
  2. We now know what the scores won't be...
  3. We should have bigger leagues. A B-Team league would just be a reserve league, which doesn't allow youngsters to play first-team professionals, just other youngsters. B-Teams can't play in the same league as their main team. (Barca B cannot be promoted to La Liga; if Barca were relegated, their B-team would also be relegated, to the third division.)
  4. Not fully. It was only one season (for us, anyway) and we were stuck in the Lowland League. Spanish sides, for example, are allowed up to the Segunda Division - if their teams are in La Liga. Villarreal B currently play in the Segunda Division. It allows them to get a lot of experience, against men. I actually think it allows us to develop the tactical side of their game internally, instead of farming them out to the rubbish we have in this country, which doesn't teach them anything that is useful to us. That's just me, though.
  5. B-teams in the league structure, like Spain, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands.
  6. Switzerland 1-2 Italy Germany 2-0 Denmark England 2-0 Slovakia Spain 3-0 Georgia JOKER France 1-0 Belgium Portugal 1-1 Slovenia Romania 1-2 Netherlands Austria 2-0 Turkey
  7. That was a horrible round of games. We averaged 10 points from Matchday1, 8 points from Matchday 2 and this round we only averaged 6 points each from matches. Points from each matchday: Player MD1 MD2 MD3 Ted McMinnime 11 12 11 der Berliner 15 6 9 buster. 12 5 12 Rousseau 14 10 5 compo 9 17 3 WorthingBear91 11 7 10 ChelseaBoy 11 8 9 weebluedevil 10 5 12 lenny3k 11 7 7 Yorkie Bear 9 11 5 Onevision 8 13 4 Franc Ergs 11 7 5 TB 10 7 4 Gonzo79 9 6 4 BEARGER 10 9 0 Whosthedado 9 8 1 CammyF 11 3 1
  8. @WorthingBear91 and @weebluedevil were the big movers in yesterday's 4 games, with both gaining 6 points from 2 Correct Scores. @lenny3k and @ChelseaBoy not far behind with 4 points gained. The Slovakia-Romania game saw a massive 7 Correct Scores, with the Georgia-Portugal providing no points whatsoever.
  9. Rules: You will receive 2 points for a correct score (CS). You will receive 1 point for a correct result (CR). Jokers applied to a game will double the points. Jokers can be used once per round (Matchday 1, Matchday 2, Matchday 3, Round of 16, etc.). Your prediction for the Knockout phase will include extra time but NOT penalties. Round of 16 fixtures: 29 June - 2 July Switzerland v Italy Germany v Denmark England v Slovakia Spain v Georgia France v Belgium Portugal v Slovenia Romania v Netherlands Austria v Turkey Please indicate your JOKER.
  10. Did you change your prediction? I have 1-2 in my spreadsheet. Edit: I see now that a couple of you have edited your posts. I'll go back over those. Edit: I've updated your scores on my spreadsheet. You get your point.
  11. What a horrible set of results! Only 4 players gained points from 4 games! Unfortunately for us, @Ted McMinnime got a Correct Score in the FRA-POL game, picking up 4 points in total yesterday to extend his lead at the top. @lenny3k, @weebluedevil and @ChelseaBoy picked up a single point from yesterday's 4 games. The rest got nothing. Crazy.
  12. I'd rather see the fallout when they get kicked out.
  13. Spain changed their whole first XI, I think?
  14. I was under the impression that Alex Rae's contract was ending. Have I just made that up?
  15. @buster. and @der Berliner were the big gainers in yesterday's matches, picking up 5 points each. @Ted McMinnime also takes the lead outright after picking up 4 points.
  16. I can't argue with that.
  17. I was merely pointing out that that's not his title with Scotland.
  18. I don't think MacPhee is the Scotland set-piece coach; he's an assistant coach. He is Aston Villa's set-piece coach, though.
  19. I wasn't too happy with the McLean links but I can see the benefit of signing an experienced player to go alongside all our youngsters.
  20. Of course not. Merely a figure of speech, to lend gravitas to the competition.
