  1. Excluding the League Cup, and a rough tally: Total played pts ppg with Dessers 17 30 1.76 without Dessers 8 17 2.13
  2. Dessers' goalscoring is not the issue. The issue is his overall game is detrimental to the effectiveness of the team. The team scores more goals when Dessers doesn't play: Europa Played Goals scored G per match with Dessers 4 8 2.00 without Dessers 2 5 2.50 League Played Goals scored G per match with Dessers 13 17 1.31 without Dessers 6 14 2.33 League Cup Played Goals scored G per match with Dessers 3 7 2.33 without Dessers 1 3 3.00 Total Played Goals scored G per match with Dessers 20 32 1.60 without Dessers 9 22 2.44
  3. He has modern ideas on the implementation of a recruitment model. I still don't think he's ready to step up to DoF which is why I was annoyed with his promotion. We need another DoF.
  4. Jumping on the first available option is no way to run a modern football club.
  5. Why are you boiling it down to either/or? You're just kicking the can down the road.
  6. If we were serious at running a football club the board would be nowhere near the decision and a dinosaur like Moyes would never be an option. Alas! we have no DoF yet.
  7. Happy New Year!
  8. I agree. That Ridvan vote was just @Graeme Ro55 torpedoing my dream of a unanimous vote.
  9. I don't think he was expected to start - he only got a run because Raskin was injured - Clement said as much. He's picked up a few number of votes in our MotM threads, so he's been a good purchase for most. @compo wants to make him captain!
  10. He's been one of our better performers. He's a young home grown talent. Yes.
  11. From what I read, Aberdeen were after £1m for Barron, whereas we had offered £500k. That's a win.
  12. David Moyes in Rangers red alert as he sets out next job criteria https://www.rangersreview.co.uk/news/24825435.david-moyes-rangers-red-alert-sets-next-job-criteria/
  13. Managers that switch like that cannot compete against those that have a well-drilled philosophy. There's also a difference between tactics and philosophy. Most modern managers will have a recognisable philosophy, but that doesn't mean they don't adapt tactically.
  14. I still think we'll be working with a one out, one in policy.
  15. Rangers 1 - 0 Celtic FGS Igamane
  16. That 4-4-2 pressing was pretty good against Spurs. I'd go: Kelly Tavernier - Sterling - Balogun - Jefte Cerny - Raskin - Diomande - Bajrami Danilo - Igamane
  17. Is this for the Celtic match? It's on Thursday.
  18. But they also have to be able to pass and press, etc. Saliba, Rudiger, Bastoni, Van Dijk wouldn't be playing if they were just 'big b*st*rds'.
  19. He had a shot at goal? What about the lad that f*cking scored two?!
  20. I don't doubt there is an element of truth to the need for signing big b*st*rds at CB, but it's quite depressing. It's an indictment of Scottish football as a whole, for me. I did suggest going for McKenna in the summer as he was a free agent but I've just read about a former teammate at Copenhagen suggesting he's the worst player he's ever seen!
  21. This is it. It's time. The unanimous vote.
