  1. Slim pickings... Correct Result (1 pt): compo, Lenny and T-1000. Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): compo. FGS (2 pts): - Correct Score (3 pts): - Latest Standings:
  2. I don't think it's a case of turning up or not. These games suit us because we can play direct, which is how PC wanted us to play. Domestically we rarely get the chance.
  3. I think we're getting pumped.
  4. Rangers takeover deal timeline revealed after key milestone reached > The Rangers takeover deal has moved a step closer to completion after the key parties received their first tranche of the legal paperwork required to bring about regime change at Ibrox. > And the Rangers Review understands the multi-million-pound transaction is on course to be completed by the end of May as high-level negotiations continue behind the scenes. > Discussions over the blockbuster move started in October and talks remain positive as major players on both sides of the deal look to put pen-to-paper. Paraag Marathe, the chief executive of 49ers Enterprises, and health insurance tycoon Andrew Cavenagh are on the brink of an agreement that will herald in sweeping change around the boardroom table. > Former chairman Dave King told the Rangers Review last month how the deal would be his ‘legacy’ at Ibrox as he prepares to sell his major shareholding in RIFC plc. John Bennett and Barry Scott are also expected to offload their entire shareholdings as part of the agreement. > Several other key figures will sell a percentage of their stock to ensure the American consortium have a controlling interest of 51 per cent in Rangers. It is believed at least two appointments will be made to the Ibrox board once the transfer of power has been finalised. > It is understood that the main players in the deal received the first formal proposals for their consideration at the start of the week. The main paperwork has not yet been finalised but initial documents are now under review. A source has told the Rangers Review that discussions are progressing and it is likely to be signed and sealed within the next couple of months. > That would herald in a new era at Ibrox ahead of the new campaign. Moves to appoint a sporting director are being overseen by Patrick Stewart, the chief executive officer. A host of names have already been linked with the managerial post that will become vacant when Barry Ferguson’s stint as interim draws to a close at the end of the campaign. > The deal with 49ers Enterprises and Cavenagh could be transformative on and off the pitch at Ibrox. Marathe is currently the chairman of Leeds United and he has dismissed suggestions that Rangers could become a feeder club as the Elland Road outfit look to secure their promotion back to the Premier League this term. > “We always have our eyes and ears open, we’re always looking at other opportunities,” Marathe said. “Multi-club from the standpoint of a hierarchy – that’s not really how we’re looking at it. We’re looking at it as almost standalone. > “Leeds United stands alone and if we were to pursue another club, that club would stand alone. Are there benefits to having leadership and ownership of multiple clubs? Absolutely, with what you could share and do on the commercial side, even sometimes on the sporting side. > “But we don’t really look at it and we haven’t contemplated it as one club as a feeder club to another. Each club deserves all of our attention and effort.” https://www.rangersreview.co.uk/news/25000485.rangers-takeover-deal-timeline-revealed-key-milestone-reached/
  5. Jose? The coach that was just pumped by Barry Ferguson?
  6. RANGERS TAKE OUT UNSPECIFIED BANK LOAN SECURED AGAINST FUTURE TRANSFER FEES Documents lodged to Companies House depict a loan from MacQuarie bank. The document states future transfer fees (of an undisclosed nature) will be paid to the lender. MacQuarie have a history of providing loans to football clubs with Watford and Burnley both examples. It is unclear as to why the club have taken out the loan. Previously, former Chairman John Bennett suggested that Rangers wouldn't pay the interest rate offered by banks such as MacQuarie due to the terms offered by directors, speaking in 2021. https://www.rangersreview.co.uk/features/25000512.rangers-take-bank-loan-future-transfer-fees/
  7. I would be in favour, too, but I suspect it would be devisive - either for his style or his horrible spell as a player with us.
  8. No, you're correct. He mentioned it, saying every manager he spoke to said 'do it your way' so there are no regrets. It's a bit of a nonsense, though. As was mentioned on MNF, coaches like Dyche and Allardyce aren't told to change plans when they get pumped every week. On MNF they broke down some of Southampton's big mistakes that cost them goals from build-up. One was because the player made a mistake in how he received the ball, and one actually went against his direct orders. The other was a mix-up. It was clear mistakes that could be rectified. And a lack of quality. Martin did mention looking at how he conveyed his message and that he would change things in future. But, the philosophy would remain. He mentioned how they didn't get the recruitment right, underestimating how athletic PL players were. He would make changes there in future. I always thought his philosophy was excellent, but I thought it impressive how he conveyed his philosophy and also how he broke down what didn't go well. He's the type we should approach. I feel this could be the best time to get him, otherwise he's out of our league with any success - they could only get Rodgers because he got Leicester relegated. Or, his career has already peaked and he'll be another dud...
  9. Did anyone watch Russell Martin on MNF last night? He speaks well, knows his stuff and has the ability to implement a recognisable style of play. It's remarkable that he had begun his coaching badges at 17-years-old - or, at least thinking about coaching. He studied right the way through his playing career. I suspect parts of our fanbase would be bored with his possession-based style, but I'd seriously consider appointing Martin our next manager.
  10. I've taken bits of open source code from different places, sourced the data and assembled it myself. It's now an original Rousseau.
  11. Version 2. I kept Propper (4) and Balogun (27) in - you can really see how much better Propper is with his passing, with strong connections to Jefte and Raskin. Balogun had very few connections with anyone. Jefte, Raskin and Diomande also have strong connections. Raskin is our hub. A lot of connections between Tavernier and Ridvan, but the latter didn't do much with it.
  12. Rangers 1 - 0 Fenerbahce FGS Dessers
  13. My first attempts at a pass network from our last two games:
  14. RANGERS have a number of players out on loan across the Men’s, Women’s and Academy sides this season. Here’s our review of how each of those fared over their most recent outings. Ben Davies – Birmingham City Ben played the full 90 minutes as Birmingham secured a priceless 1-0 home victory over Wycombe Wanderers. It was a fifth successive clean sheet for the Blues with Ben playing every minute at the heart of the defence. Apps: 30 Kieran Dowell – Birmingham City Kieran, meanwhile, continued his run in the Birmingham side with another 90-minute display in the victory over Wycombe. The Englishman lined up on the right-hand side of the midfield for the Blues as they continue to look strong favourites for the EFL League One title. Apps: 10 Jose Cifuentes – Aris Thessaloniki Jose started and played the full 90 minutes as Aris played out a 1-1 draw with Volos NPS in league action. It was an eighth consecutive appearance for the Ecuadorian who has been a mainstay in the Aris side this term. Apps: 24 Goals: 1 Assists: 2 Cole McKinnon – Ayr United Cole laid on his first assist for the Honest Men in their 4-1 victory over Airdrieonians on Saturday afternoon. The midfielder teed up Curtis Main who added the fourth for Ayr in the triumph, with the 22-year-old introduced for the final 25 minutes. Apps: 8 Assists: 1 Robbie Fraser – Livingston Robbie was a second half substitute as Livingston fought back to salvage a point away to Partick Thistle on Friday evening. The full-back provided energy to the Lions’ second half display in what could prove a valuable result for David Martindale’s side come the end of the campaign. Apps: 9 Goals: 1 Assists: 1 Lewis Budinauckas – Partick Thistle Lewis, meanwhile, was on the opposite side as the goalkeeper helped Thistle to the draw at home to Livingston. It was a second successive appearance for the 22-year-old who was helpless to deny a thunderous Robbie Muirhead header in the second half. Apps: 2 Archie Stevens – Dunfermline Athletic Archie started and played a pivotal role as Dunfermline roared back from a goal down to overcome Greenock Morton on Saturday afternoon. Indeed, a double from Pars forward Chris Kane was the difference as Archie continues to impress the East End Park faithful with his pace and trickery. Apps: 6 Jay Hogarth – Dunfermline Athletic Jay, meanwhile, was on the bench for the Pars in the come-from-behind victory. The goalkeeper joined Dunfermline on an emergency loan deal and has played understudy to Tobi Oluwayemi. Adam Devine – Queen’s Park Adam netted his first goal for Queen’s Park in their 4-0 rout of Raith Rovers on Saturday afternoon. Making his third start for the club, the full-back produced a well-taken left-footed effort to double the Spiders’ advantage just minutes into the second half. Apps: 3 Goals: 1 Leon King – Queen’s Park Leon joined Queen’s Park on loan on Friday evening and made his first appearance in the victory in Kirkcaldy the following day. Indeed, the defender was introduced for the final quarter of an hour and helped the Spiders see out a comprehensive 4-0 victory. Apps: 1 Kieran Wright – Airdrieonians Kieran started between the posts as Airdrieonians tasted defeat away to Ayr United. The defeat brought the side’s five-game winning run to a halt and they will be keen to produce a positive result when Falkirk come to town this evening. Apps: 23 Josh Gentles – Alloa Athletic Josh played from start to finish for Alloa as they came from behind to defeat Cove Rangers at home on Saturday afternoon. The 17-year-old partnered Conor Sammon in attack and was unfortunate not to get himself onto the scoresheet once again as he continues to impress for the Wasps. Apps: 6 Goals: 2 Assists: 2 Blaine McClure – Kelty Hearts Blaine started and played the full 90 minutes as Kelty Hearts returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Queen of the South in Dumfries. The 18-year-old was a strong performer for Charlie Mulgrew’s men and has played every available minute in the side’s last three games. Apps: 5 Kristian Webster – Dumbarton Kristian played 45 minutes for Dumbarton as they tasted defeat at home to Stenhousemuir. The Sons have endured a tough campaign in League One and are still searching for their first league victory since December. Apps: 7 Jack Harkness – Stirling Albion Jack supplied the winning goal for Stirling Albion in their 1-0 triumph over East Fife on Saturday afternoon. The 21-year-old’s pinpoint delivery was met by Dale Hilson as he registered his fifth goal contribution in his last six appearances from full-back for the Binos. Apps: 23 Goals: 2 Assists: 3 Leyton Grant – Stirling Albion Leyton was a strong performer in defence for Stirling Albion as he helped the side to a well-earned clean sheet. The 18-year-old lined up on the left-hand side of his side’s three-man backline and has started all eight games since joining the Binos on loan in January. Apps: 8 Jacob Pazikas – Gala Fairydean Rovers Jacob, meanwhile, started between the posts as Gala Fairydean Rovers recorded an impressive 4-0 victory away to Hearts B on Friday evening. It was a first clean sheet for the 20-year-old since joining the Lowland League outfit on loan in January as the side look to create positive momentum.
  15. I think that's Arsène Wenger's proposal. I don't know what's happening with it.
  16. How do you measure 'more than a body width'?
  17. Just to be that guy: we played a 3-4-3, not 3-5-2.
  18. What if there's half an inch in it? Do you give it to the attacker? What if it's 2 inches? Give it to the attacker? What if it's 10 yards? Give it to the attacker? It's always been a factual decision, it's always been tight; it's just now we have technology to make sure.
