  1. The irony if it works...
  2. Don't you know that Gerrard and Lampard can't play together?
  3. Chelsea's new signing got a straight red card...
  4. Rangers 3 - 2 Aberdeen FGS Tillman
  5. I've seen it, but I don't trust their source. I'd love it to be true.
  6. My recollection was that Windass shone too bright; it was too much for those around him. “The flame that burns Twice as bright burns half as long.”
  7. I've just realised that Lowry wasn't even on the bench at the weekend. I'm annoyed that he's not getting more minutes.
  8. Many posters have that player they struggle to see in an unbiased way: TB with Goldson, dB with Tavernier, DMAA with Kent... you with Kamara. Only my admiration for Josh Windass can be said to be truly impartial, unbiased and accurate.
  9. Sorry. Monthly.
  10. Potentially, yes. I would argue the Bassey and Aribo signings were more of a gamble. Cantwell and Davies play/have played at a higher level than Bassey or Aribo: Bassey was released by Leicester's Academy, and Aribo was playing in League One. These guys are 24. Get them back to somewhere near their best within a year or two and we're making £10-15m on the gamble, if it works out. If they don't work, I think they are still of a decent quality right now.
  11. Like you do with Kamara on a weekly basis...
  12. Profile-wise, Cantwell and Davies are exciting signings. They are both technically gifted, young, versatile with huge upside in terms of resale value. (Cantwell was linked with Liverpool a couple of years ago.) The issue is - with Cantwell especially; Davies to a lesser degree - they've been beset by off-field problems, which is a little worrying but that's the only way we'd be able to sign players of this calibre. Davies has played as an #8 and a #6. Cantwell plays as an #8, #10 or wide, cutting inside.
  13. The case for Goldson for his consistency over the last two games:
  14. What are your thoughts, folks?
  15. I think part of the issue was tactical. First-half was more of a 4-2-3-1, but in the second half we played more of a 4-3-1-2/4-3-3. Sakala was noticeably higher and more central. I think having more bodies central allowed us to overload their 2 (they were ostensibly a 3-4-3, but obviously 5-4-1 without the ball).
  16. Some good scores. The pack closes the gap... Correct Result (1 pt): Everyone who entered. Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): Rousseau, compo, SBG, Devil, Dado, DJ, TB, Mal, buster, Ted and r_s. FGS (2 pts): Lenny, Graeme, DJ, Mal and Mack. Correct Score (3 pts): Rousseau, SBG and r_s. Latest Standings:
  17. Yes, it seems like he can't make up his mind what to do with the ball and before you know it he has clattered into the defender.
  18. I think the defensive shape has been alright. We gave a good structure so we've got bodies around the ball for the counterpress. (A good side goes a step further and creates chances from recovering the ball; we don't/can't.) Apart from that... ugh.
  19. Partly because there's five players around him when he gets the ball, and he's stupidly still trying to wiggle through them.
  20. Kent doing a wee step-over on the half-way line. Utd terrified.
  21. Well, MB isn't happy. That's good, I suppose...
