  1. Worried about it being low? It is low, but that's explained by him being in a team that finished 20th, by quite some way. It doesn't really matter what the xG is. What matter is how it compares to his actual goals. You want someone that hits or over-performs their xG consistently. I wish I had Morelos' data in Finland. I would think that he would have a high xG, being in the top team, but his actual goals would be lower than his xG, because he's wasteful.
  2. I didn't look into his minutes and fitness issues. That's a wee bit worrying. I don't think we're going with wide forwards. I'm even starting to suspect we're not going with a main goalscorer; rather, we're expecting a number of players to chip in with a decent number of goals (10-15) - did you make that point before?
  3. He had a bad time with injuries at Stoke, but then he played 37 games (pretty much every game) for Angers last season. I'm not worried about his low goals. He hits his xG.
  4. Apologies. I was just having a wee bit of fun.
  5. Sima interests me more. He was an exciting talent at Slavia Prague - enough to warrant Brighton making a move for him. He's still only 22. He's quite versatile, too, being able to play along the front line. 6 goals in 37 games looks poor, but he hits his xG and was his clubs top scorer as they were relegated. He carries the ball well, dribbles well, presses well, and is decent in the air. Guess who he's similar to? Sam Lammers. Again, it fits with MB playing a front two in a 4-3-1-2. If this is a loan to buy, I'd be happy.
  6. Have you watched him extensively, BSRT? All we can do is trust Beale.
  7. We have an aging squad. We don't need any more auld yins. Especially when we're forking out significant cash on the deal.
  8. Times are tough; I can't afford a season ticket at Cremonese.
  9. We all have to go with Beale; we don't have any other choice. It's not going to stop us forming our own opinions. I thought Cantwell would be an exceptional signing when the rumours circulated. I was disappointed when we signed Colak and Lawrence. Dessers reminds me of those two. It doesn't mean I'm right.
  10. No - Just stats and clips, like anyone else. I could be wrong. It's just my opinion based on what I've seen and read.
  11. Hopefully we now return to the superior fitness seen under Gerrard.
  12. @BEARGER - We want the club to get the clicks and views, so don't copy the whole text from the Rangers website. Only post links, and maybe the first paragraph or two. The Tweet announcement is better.
  13. I love stats, so you'll not get an eye roll from me. I'll meet you in the middle: He's been very good in the Netherlands, but nowhere else. I've made that point about the front two before. He might be the goalscorer we need, but at 28, I think it's a waste of money.
  14. At 28, he's too old. And other than score goals, he doesn’t do much. He's similar to Colak in that way, which is fine but if you're only contributing goals, you need to be exceptional at that and he's not; he's alright, but not exceptional.
  15. I don't like it. I looks like a tube of Acquafresh.
  16. I don't understand why we're bothering with Dessers.
  17. I'm sympathetic to the basic concept: the sharing of knowledge, etc. They have links to City Group, with some coaches and Ange.
  18. I see it as the Chelsea owners trying to replicate City Group (Man City, New York City FC, Melbourne City FC, Yokohama F. Marinos, Girona, Mumbai City FC, Troyes, Palermo, etc.) and Red Bull (Leipsig, Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, FC Liefering, Red Bull Bragantino). "One of the core philosophies of City Football Group since its inception has been the mutual supporting of clubs through combined scouting and player sharing. While virtually all large European clubs operate an international scouting network, financial demands make it impossible to access local knowledge in foreign countries to the same extent as a domestic club could. CFG clubs therefore provide invaluable services to each other by using their own local scouting networks to share information on players between clubs." "In addition to internal player movements, CFG has also sought to foster movements of coaching staff within their network also; among the most notable relocations are French manager Eric Mombaerts, who has worked with Yokohama F. Marinos, Melbourne City and Troyes, Manchester City Women manager Nick Cushing transferring to New York and English coach Liam Manning transferring from the NYCFC academy to take over management of Lommel's first team." (Ange... ?) "The second of CFG's core philosophies regarding club collaboration is on- and off-pitch technical information sharing. Based around the tactics of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola – long coveted for the Manchester job by Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain after their experience working with him in Barcelona – all of City Football Group's clubs are given access to extensive databases of Manchester City's tactics and coaching methods, enabling them all to follow the group directive to use the same style of football, a style occasionally referred to as the City Way. This synergy of tactical style extends beyond their first teams to the academies and women's sections. In addition to this, the clubs also share other information, such as medical, performance monitoring and player management."
  19. They're making a move for Portuguese side Rio Ave next. Which club can we buy?
  20. Just to really rub it in:
