For me, style of play is a prerequisite of success. I don't mean playing fancy football for the sake of it; I mean a successful style of play.

Someone like Negri, perhaps? Or Boumsong? Big impact, yet (virtually) here for months. Tillman? Andy Dibble?

As we await the much hoped for death knell - and since it's the international break - let's jump into a question doing the rounds on social media. The question is: which player has made the biggest impact in the least amount of time spent at the club?

In terms of recruitment? Yes. Huge mistake, IMO. A DoF does much more, though.

I'm not dismissing anyone winning things in other leagues like Japan. I'm not convinced by Muscat. I don't know much about him, but he seems to only have success following Ange. Can he implement it himself, though, from scratch?

Ange had only won two league titles in Australia and Japan. That doesn't sound like the "experienced winner who has won trophies" you mentioned. Gallardo is out of our league. I just want someone that can implement a good style of play.
