The Motherwell manager asked the referee after the game and conceded it was onside.

I don't think they do. It's off or on. I can only recall one instance of VAR coming out and saying they made a mistake with an offside, which was because they focused on the wrong side of the pitch, iirc - or something like that. I only see it as a matter of interpretation in those instances when a player is in the way of a shot.

I don't think so. There are 6 cameras used in normal VAR use, and even more when it's a live match.

In my case I'd be f*cking mystified, but delighted. I think he's offside. I don't think we can challenge offside calls; it's on or off. It's not like the 'foul' last time out.

We say this every time he does well off the bench late on. Then he starts and he's p*sh because we can't use his pace.

Looks like the 4-2-2-2, which was deployed against County, iirc. Maybe that's the away set-up.

Rangers losing is anathema. Rangers winning keeps Beale in a job.

On the plus side Everton's xG is quite good so they'll be fine this season.
