Still without a club. He did well at New York Red Bulls; won back-to-back doubles at Red Bull Salzburg; bombed at RB Leipzig; prematurely sacked at Leeds, IMO, but wasn’t brilliant. He has the right CV, but I would have question marks about him being an option for us.

I'm going to pull a Roy Keane: Butland pulled off a save but, THAT'S HIS JOB! I went with Lammers. He had far more shots than anyone else (8 compared to Dessers in second with 3). He's doing something right. I'd like to see him play up front rather than as a #10, where I think he's wasted.

It appears I should have added: "Mainly because I think that's the kind of football that would excite the fans [but also because it would be effective football]." I wouldn't suggest a style/coach if it didn't include effective, winning football.

What are your thoughts, folks?

I would explore Germany and/or the Red Bull ecosystem for the next talented coaches. Mainly because I think that's the kind of football that would excite the fans.
