  1. Rumours or early betting? Either way that's grim...
  2. To be fair, Brighton took 10 days to appoint DeZerbi and they had/have excellent forward planning. So, for us... January?
  3. Maybe that's why Rae was approached? I think I read that Davis was doing his badges, but I doubt he's got them all.
  4. Also they have just sacked Beale's whole team, so Davis can't do all that alone.
  5. Maybe. The only thing I'd say to that is that they are all currently employed (excluding Rae?) by the club, so it may just be to help Davis? I don't know.
  6. Get Potter on the phone! Seduce him...
  7. I'd rather they took a wee bit of time - not too much, though.
  8. To be fair, I wasn't expecting a new manager to be appointed straight away. Beale had to go, though. Hopefully it's only one game the interim(s) have to navigate.
  9. Separate thread for the sacking:
  10. "The search process for the new manager is already underway."
  11. Romano?! Sh*t! It's happening!
  12. I think he's got a cushy position there, if what I've read is true, unfortunately.
  13. It's alright: they'll get another punt in six months!
  14. How the f*ck are we still getting 'no' votes?!
  15. Agreed - which is covered in my 'it's how they're deployed and used' point.
  16. Are people forgetting that we actually play with three forwards? Personnel is not the (main) issue, it's how they're deployed and used.
  17. You literally just said that. No one's arguing with you about the latter part. Even if we give a new man 3 years, and we're all on board, if he starts like Pedro then he should be punted.
  18. So why are you arguing for giving a manager time, when you've also just said "its obvious [Beale]'s not the right man"? Why would you give time to the wrong man?
  19. You're not giving Beale years (he's had 10 months) - why? 'It may take [two to three years] to win us the league back'? What if it doesn't?
  20. I've already said it: You're saying it's damaging to sack managers, so we should stick with a failing manager? It doesn't make sense to me. We're sacking them because they've failed. Surely sticking with a failing manager is much worse than a 'look'. It's only a poisoned chalice if the whole club is a sh*t-show. We're not. We just need a DoF and a competent manager. We don't need a revolution.
  21. No - it does not make sense to me.
  22. All of it. It's damaging to sack managers, so we should stick with a failing manager? It doesn't make sense.
