I'd like to see McCausland get some minutes, but I suspect - in this system - he's competing with both Cantwell and Wright for the same position. Unless Cantwell plays in one of the deeper positions taken by Lundstram and Raskin.

I never wanted Dessers in the first place (£5M for a 28-year-old is stupidity), but I'm not going to criticise him when he's here, same with Lammers. Use them properly; use them to their strengths. Dessers is a penalty box striker. Give him chances in the box; he'll put them away. Don't expect him to run the channels and press. Lammers is a pressing forward, with good control, vision and positioning. Put him up-front - width of the goals - with someone to both feed and feed off.

Their xG was 0.85 in the first half. You could expect a goal coming from that, but not 3 or 4.

I don't mind having Souness around as an ambassador. But as a football consultant? No. He's a dinosaur. He's actually a dinosaur in punditry, never mind actual footballing matters.
