Rousseau replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
I thought Hutton was frightening just before his move to 'Spurs. Tavernier deserves a mention. -

Cueller didn't get much attention. -
As it's the international break, I thought we could partake in a little exercise doing the rounds on social media. Every day we'll pick the best all-time Rangers player for each position. The most voted player gets added to the lineup. Yesterday's winners: Gough and Butcher. Day 4: Right-back. Who is the best all-time Rangers Right-back? [LCF - Day 9] - [RCF - Day 9] [LW - Day 6] - [AM - Day 7] - [RW - Day 8] [DM - Day 5] Robertson - Butcher - Gough - [RB - Day 4] Goram

I'm pleased. @JohnMc made a late vote making it 9-9 between Robertson and Numan. This pushes Robertson ahead again. -

Stick your fancy positions up your a*se!
-
I always go left-back first.
-
Shall we combine CBs tomorrow? There shouldn't be much distinction between left- and right-centre-back?
-
It will be votes going forward. The GK vote was 4 names - two with 1 vote each - so I thought I'd have some fun with the tally. It took a lot longer than expected...

Was Shaw a Left-back?

Gersnet Rangers All-time XI | Day 1: Goalkeeper
Rousseau replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
It will be going forward. GK is a simple vote, so I thought I'd tally up the mentions - even Sorensen's Daughter-in-law. -
This position could see another clear winner, but... Numan, Papac, Wallace ... Barisic? 👀

Can that not be applied to McGregor, too? it's not close, to be fair: Goram is well out in front of McGregor on this thread. -
Gersnet Rangers All-time XI | Day 1: Goalkeeper

This has turned out to be an interesting discussion. I felt Goram would be the clear winner - which is the case - but it seems to me that all our contenders are similarly skilled in one area (shot-stopping) and similarly limited in others (passing, commanding the box, etc.); they all won many titles - Goram actually won fewer than you'd expect - and they could all make a worldie. So what is it that makes Goram stand out?
