  1. We can drop a striker for another midfielder?
  2. It doesn't have to be a purely defensive choice, hence the half-back: I thought Davis should get a mention and he is a deep-lying playmaker.
  3. Right-back vote: Right-back Count Jardine 7 Stevens 6 Tavernier 3 Hutton 2 Shearer 1
  4. Baxter, surely? I never saw him play but I've been mesmerised by clips for decades. I thought this would have been an easy decision.
  5. I wanted to bring in different types of midfielders. I considered just having one striker and bringing in another central-midfielder (4-2-3-1), but I thought most would want the front two.
  6. As it's the international break, I thought we could partake in a little exercise doing the rounds on social media. Every day we'll pick the best all-time Rangers player for each position. The most voted player gets added to the lineup. Yesterday's winner: Jardine Day 5: Defensive-midfield / Half-back. Who is the best all-time Rangers Defensive-midfielder? [LCF - Day 9] - [RCF - Day 9] [LW - Day 6] - [AM - Day 7] - [RW - Day 8] [DM - Day 5] Robertson - Butcher - Gough - Jardine Goram
  7. "I almost chose Ritchie too but decided I probably didn't actually see enough of him to make a proper decision." - Bill, Tuesday, 20:37
  8. Tavernier is the only current or relatively recent player to receive votes. Interesting.
  9. I thought Hutton was frightening just before his move to 'Spurs. Tavernier deserves a mention.
  10. CB tally: Centre-backs Count Gough 16 Butcher 9 Amoruso 5 Weir 4 Young 3 McKinnon 3 Forsythe 2 Jackson 1 McLaren 1
  11. Cueller didn't get much attention.

  13. He was only here for 5 minutes, but Boumsong?
  14. I'm pleased. @JohnMc made a late vote making it 9-9 between Robertson and Numan. This pushes Robertson ahead again.
  15. Erm... who's 'Korky'?
  16. Amoruso and Weir, for me. Honourable mentions: Bougherra, Andrews.
  17. Left-back vote: Player Count Robertson 9 Numan 8 Caldow 4 Shaw 1 Papac 1

  19. Stick your fancy positions up your a*se!
  20. I always go left-back first.
  21. Shall we combine CBs tomorrow? There shouldn't be much distinction between left- and right-centre-back?
  22. It will be votes going forward. The GK vote was 4 names - two with 1 vote each - so I thought I'd have some fun with the tally. It took a lot longer than expected...
  23. Was Shaw a Left-back?
