Seems to be a good deal for us regarding Svensson. He never really lloked like he would be able to adapt to our game and never once looked up for an aerial 'battle'. Hopefully we will invest in another cb because although I agree with letting Sven sson go it does leave us light at the back.

I'll gladly eat my words if proved wrong, but are we not going slightly over the top about how good this guy is/could be? To be totally honest I don't know anything about the boy, but Jeremy Clement was a young French 'superstar' and he didn't exactly set the heather on fire here. As someone already said where is this money coming from all of a sudden? Sounds like a bit of a risk to me..................

Great thread:) Something good to talk about apart from the non events at Ibrox. 1. The 3-1 game at Ibrox when Novo scored a lte penalty to make it 3-1 after Prso and Buffel had put us 2-0 up. 2. For me at Hampden it would have to be that LC semi when Bert Konterman scored the winner from what... 50 yards!!! 3. Best won at Parkhead would be the New year game we won 4-2. Big Mark Hateley scored a couple of goals early doors and I think if memory serves me right we were 3-0 up after about 25 minutes.

I agree with this if Adam, Burke etc had been in the reserves during the trophy laden 90's they wouldn't have got in the reserve team never mind the first 11. Also if yiou had said to us then that the 'star' summer signings would have been from Falkirk and St Mirren we would have laughed. Oh how times have changed

I think Darcheville could turn out to be a great signing. Good career in Frnce, not scored a massive amount of goals, but in Scotland and hopefully getting plenty chances put his way I think he'll score a few for us. I was really impressed with Gow in the friendly, but hard to gauge on one game. Depends how often he pleys. Same applies to Broadfoot, I can;t see him playing too oftern tbh. It depends if/when we sign Webster

Absolutely gutted for Barca last night. With two mins to go looked like they were going into the Final games as faviourites and then bang one minute changed everything. That happened with us that year we won it on goal difference - Larsson hit the post at Killie and Thompson scored for us.

Yeah I see what your saying Craig. Another good example of speculate to accumulate if you like is with Elmander last year. If we had pushed the boat out a little and got him we probably would have sold him for at least double what we paid for him. Instead we went for the cheaper option in Mr Sebo:confused:
