  1. I'm not sure I'm following Leggo's train of thought. Rip up the JJB deal to put a more lucrative one in place? Seems okay to me although I did only skim over it given how bored I get reading his hackneyed style.
  2. Be interested to see what the deals entails if it goes ahead. And whilst I agree that being a feeder club is not an option, there could be a lot of benefit, both on and off the park.
  3. Rangers Media
  4. I think the Bold Gio is losing it now. [Did he ever have it?] The Scotsman is to blame? Oh dear...
  5. Stephen Thompson, Peter Houston, Jim McLean, Gary Kenneth, Maurice Malpas, Hamish McAlpine.... your boys took a hell of a beating. Bwahahahahaha
  6. Good luck to the guy. Plenty of doubters to prove wrong still, but I hope he does it.
  7. I think its very likely we will be facing teams who pack their defences and look to make things very narrow and compact. It is for this reason that I am quite pleased we have signed Kevin Kyle. Many criticise him but there is no doubt in my mind that someone of his physical stature will be very handy when it comes to the trickier ties we will have this season.
  8. Green said it himself in his post-match interview with Chick Young last night. The suspicion is and was natural given all that has happened to us of late. But he will be judged on his deeds rather than his words. Each and every time he delivers upon a promise made, that is what will eventually count.
  9. Gutted I couldn't make it tonight but never been prouder to be a Bear. What an atmosphere!
  10. Who won the Carling Cup with Birmingham, I think.
  11. Sandaza and Kyle give us badly needed options. Happy with those.
  12. This can only be an attempt by Murray to try and curry favour with us. Hopefully this means he has something really juicy that will really put the cat amongst the pigeons. He's still a c*** though.
  13. Whether the deal on the table for Sandaza is any different to what was originally offered, and deemed "an insult", is most likely going to be down to whether he was able to get more money from another club. Considering he's now going to drop down the divisions, methinks its no longer quite so insulting. But if he signs, I'll back him like any other player who pulls on the shirt.
  14. Kyle's presence could be very useful in games where defences are packed and well organised and we need a battering ram. A one year deal give him the chance to prove his fitness for next season.
  15. So what do we know about this lad. Signed by Athletico from Leeds?
  16. That is brilliant. Folk are going to cherry pick, says the caller. Hugh agrees and says its worrying from Celtic's point of view. Yet they don't need us??
  17. They've tried that tactic already with regards to the identities of those sitting on the appellate tribunal. That was discredited too. Yet will you find any journalist actually question this? No no no, just report whatever BS is provided so long as it suits your own agenda.
  18. I'd be interested to see how much of a difference this will mean to the prize monies on offer for final positions in the SPL. This reduction, coupled with falling ST sales is a recipe for disaster.
  19. Also, its inefficient tax-wise to turn a huge profit which would then be subject to corporation tax. Spend more of our money, we pay less tax.
  20. How about we sign both and Deuchar can be Kyle's personal physician?
  21. I thought this was an article desperate to kick us, yet again. Questioning our strategy is one thing, but this is all about trying to keep the kicks going now that they think we are truly down. I've taken issue with other sites and people who have taken this line, the @talkinbaws site twitter account for one. As Frankie says, the whole thing is very simple. Our signing strategy is to cover all eventualities over the next 2 seasons, not just to get through SFL3. Why take the chance on signing journeymen who are only just competent to win SFL3, when we can afford players of much greater quality and all but guarantee promotion.
  22. Sceptical about what value he has added here. From allegations of fraud he's watered himself down to membership matters. I'm happy for him to expose any pertinent matters but I'm struggling to see what he has added.
  23. If they earn their bus fare home out of European competition this season they will have done well.
  24. No way he'd have been on any more than £2-3k pw at Hibs. So if he gets £7k p/w from us, its a no-brainer. Plus, if the talk of league reconstruction comes true, it might not be that long till we are back in the top flight. And by then, he's a very good chance of establishing himself as a mainstay of the team.
  25. Reading between the lines, we are offering Beattie some sort of structured deal to minimise our outlay in the event he gets injured. Sensible enough given his injury history but there is talk of Notts County having offered him more money. Saying that, the way he rips into the Tims on twitter, and goes "taps aff" when he scores; and as an ex player for Timmy, I think he'd become a fans favourite.
