Yeah. He's using the Scotsman which is interesting. Is there a paper out there that wonder pander to his bullshit?
-
Hmmm. Released just as there's talk of Green being cleared by this investigation. Further muddying of the waters... Wonder who's leaked this time?

Me, Juffery and our Sheepy pal who came along for the banter drove down from Edinburgh but didn't set off till almost mid-day. Didn't arrive till around 4.30-5pm. Remember sending a text to Frankie to meet up but we didn't have time in the end. Dropped the car at a Tesco carpark in the southside of Manchester. Taxi into town, then found the nearest off sales and bought a couple of crates of warm Fosters. Into the city centre to soak up the atmosphere and have a few scoops. Then into Albert Square trying to watch the game which ultimately ended in disappointment. Insanely few toilets provided which resulted in guys pissing anywhere. After the game we went for a curry at a wee place just below street level at Albert Square. Despite repeated attempts to pay by asking for the bill, we eventually decide to walk out and were waived on our way by the restaurant staff. The free curry certainly helped raise spirits a little. Caught a bus back to the car, singing the Jean-Claude Darcheville and the Carlos Cuellar songs in full voice to the bemused mooks of locals. Slept the night in the car at Tesco Car park before making our way home the next day, and to the tragic news of Tommy Burns passing away. Some bittersweet memories, but a great 36 hours nonetheless.

I suspect things will fast forward once the investigation reveals its findings. As frustrating as it is, this is all just jockeying for position. If I get time I'll do a post on it, but Rangers need a good internal audit function. I will do it for much cheapness!

Bell seems to have good pedigree. If Jim Stewart thinks he's a prospect then that'll do for now. Lets judge the guy on his performances rather than slate him because he's coming from Kilmarnock or because he's slightly smaller than what people think a keeper should be. I don't recall anyone moaning about Stefan Klos' height. He was 6ft as well.
-
Think the word is that he has now left the club. I'd doubt he's getting a deal unless on greatly reduced terms. He leaves with thanks but we can't afford to be sentimental. Now, when's Boyd, miller, smith and Nacho signing!!

Nothing wrong with a bowl of muesli!

Not convinced by that. Seems odd to me.

Puzzled as to why this investor wants anonymity.

There's a fine line between arrogance and confidence. When you mix confidence with a winners mentality, its only natural that those who don't share your success will point you out as arrogant. Not a hard and fast rule but it works for me.

Sandy and James Easdale are aiming to increase their shareholding
stewarty replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
Reading Fury (Chris Graham) on twitter, McLaughlin is the go-to man for Media House. This is itself puzzling given that the club also use their services if i recall correctly. -

Whatever is said about the suitability of the Easdales, and I'm going to hold my counsel for the time being, why on earth do they think giving an interview to Chris McLaughlin will in any way persuade supporters to get on board? -
But maybe the breakfast news will bring further details of a stock exchange notification.
-
That maybe he hasn't actually been subject to a vote of confidence. If it had happened, I can't see any justification for there not being a swift notification to the stock exchange given its relevance to shareholders. The fact it's come from McLaughlin at the BBC, and given we have strong suspicions about his sources (Green/Ahmad), who's to say its not yet anyone unverified smear tactic on Murray. This is all speculation of course, but at this time it's no more or less than the information being reported.
-
I'm sure they can work out the details if there is genuine agreement there. Question for me, aside from all those you guys have already mentioned, is will we get any transparency over this process? Will anyone come out provide the information everyone is asking for? Somehow I think not.
-
No formal confirmation as far as I know. I'd imagine it will come through the stock exchange first though so not likely till tomorrow at the earliest now.
-
Something not right about that. Sounds like potentially duff information. If true, and considering the circumstances of his departure it is certainly a bit worrying.
-
If the rumours are true, and the SFL didn't receive the diligence information requested to allow it to assess the previous proposals, why would they suddenly jump on board with this? This has a wee while to travel yet, I'd fancy.
-
Unless I've missed something, there's been no stock exchange notifications tonight. Is this yet more smoke and mirrors?

Celtic to close part of their stadium???
stewarty replied to Darthter's topic in General Football Chat
The reason is because of reduced ticket sales and to reduce costs. Speaking to a Celtic supporting colleague, season ticket holders are spread across the majority of stands. So when you have a game where a reduced attendance is expected, say a mid-week cup fixture against a lower league team, then you have to front up the costs of keeping all areas of the stadium open. What they are trying to do is keep season ticket holders to certain areas. That way, they can close some sections of the stand to reduce costs by not selling tickets for those areas; and knowing that there will be no season ticket holders who may or may not turn up. Makes perfect sense, but its far more fun to wind them up about falling sales - so thats the angle I'm going for. -
Its not that surprising when you consider how much time they spend obsessing over the minutiae of everything to do with the club they claim, despite the empirical evidence, is only a year old. And a lot of this stuff is coming from the likes of Mad Phil and his cohorts. They get some things right, but they get a heck of a lot wrong. That's the trouble with being fuelled by hate and wanting every possible negative to be true. McGobblegiver's latest is that Alex Thomson is returning this week. No doubt with smoking gun in hand. I wont hold my breath...

Wallace for me. He's been a standout in terms of his consistent performances.

STEVEN NAISMITH insists he has been proved RIGHT
stewarty replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He doesn't get it, does he? He should focus on getting a game for his new club because we're not interested in anything he has to say. -
NEW: SFL Clubs Breakaway to From Championship (SPFL2)
stewarty replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The pretence of all the reconstruction talk being about 42 club solutions, and financial distribution down the leagues has been cruelly exposed yet again. Whilst I agree with Frankie's summation that, if true, we will inevitably be invited to SPFL2, and will accept; I hope we hold firm and expose these charlatans for what they are. However, fiduciary duties of directors will dictate what we do. -
Question I immediately think of is: who leaked this, and for who's benefit? Is this softening up the fans for further departures by saying that Green laid the groundwork for whatever is to come? Paint Green as the bad guy, but ultimately reduce costs and increase share price? Who can we think of that is trying to sell his shares that could potentially benefit for that? Oh what a tangled web we weave.... (or summat).
