  1. Stockbridge and Mather say so many things that just dont seem to stand up when checked. Yet they want us to back them while they threaten supporters with legal action and keep losing money hand over fist. This is really boiling my piss.
  2. Lennon trying to put a positive spin on it. Fair enough, thats his job. Brown was stupid, and but for some excellent saves at the end from Forster, it would have been at least one or two more for Barca.
  3. Football is a unique business though. And even big companies will provide details of the strategy and plans when its appropriate. For football clubs there are lots of opportunties: Season ticket renewals, publishing accounts, AGMs, etc. Not to mention the exponential level of press coverage that we receive in comparison to almost any other type of organisation.
  4. Unless its a threat against one of either Mather or Stockbridge, they seem almost reluctant to be seen to take action. Not holding my breath.
  5. Great stuff again Andy. We could only give folk the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what happened. In Whyte's case, his strategy was to prevent information getting out, to rubbish it when it did and to create all sorts of diversionary tactics to further muddy the waters. All aided and abetted by Jack Irvine and Media House. With Green, he was also given the benefit of the doubt. But he ran his mouth off too much and ended up writing cheques he couldn't honour. All aided and abetted by Jack Irvine and Media House. With Mather... I think you can see where I'm going. If it takes a couple of years and a degree in Machiavellian tactics to get a proper handle on some of this stuff, as you say, how can the average punter be expected to get buy into a concerted campaign against it.
  6. Wonder if the fact that its gone a bit quiet on the accounts front is because Deloitte have issues in signing us off as a going concern? Given that its generally accepted that we need to recapitalise, and soon. I'd say its almost certain that this is a sticking point for the audit as the club can ill afford to have its operating company's first set of accounts to be qualified.
  7. It may well be, but it will also need to be off-set against the additional costs of owning and operating the retail outlets having taken them over from JJB. Some of the chat in the commentary of the management accounts was about the lack of available Umbro stock to sell due to the breakdown of the JJB deal, so I'm hopeful that we will get quite a good uplift in these numbers. The forthcoming accounts should give us more insight.
  8. Its going to have to be a very big difference regarding the SD/Puma income. The Charlotte Fakes leaked management accounts from around December last year were predicting a significant uplift in revenues. Given how late we were in releasing the new kit for sale, it makes you wonder how reliable their forecasting is.
  9. First 3 followers are hacks. Suggests to me it's a hack who's behind this account.
  10. Floating voters will be looking at a variety of issues before casting their votes. We know that the Board has been actively trying to engage with investors to try and reassure them their investment is safe. How convincing that will be could depend on: - the Board's performance in the lead up to the AGM (increasingly erratic) - the financial results (currently being audited by Deloittes, their opinion on us being a going concern will be crucial) - fan opinion and confidence in the Board (split, but probably favouring McCollco is my guess) - the ability of both camps to persuade floating voters
  11. Seems reasonable. The gallery will no doubt be full of rebel reporters and the like.
  12. Where's Funtime Frankie gone? You've changed!
  13. It means that it will delete all internet search history related to specific websites if you get caught and need to hit the panic button. Put down http://www.cumguzzlingsluts.com and remember to click on the panic button any time the missus looks over your shoulder. You can thank me later ;-)
  14. I don't think their statement fully explains why they withdrew the requisition. I hope more information is made known about this as my unease is growing. Because the Easdales have acquired a 'significant minority" shareholding they decided to negotiate a compromise... does that mean they are no longer confident of success in the event of an EGM? Blin's complete withdrawal suggests he is not willing to be further associated with this pantomime. That in itself is deeply worrying, as it suggests that even if he is appointed to the Board, the issues are so deep rooted, that he is unlikely to survive without significant damage to his reputation.
  15. Hey Gribz, I'm guessing you had to change from your usual password of "I<3ladyboyz". Bummer.
  16. It says a lot that journos are only patching in to some of the detail of that particular incident some 5 months after the event. Its not as if it was something that was unknown. Whilst I may not have known the names of those who complained, although I'm sure I had heard about the Annan Chairman being one of them, it was surely a fruitful line of enquiry for an intrepid reporter to take? At least, to be able to put down some copy that would add to the story - i.e. to whom and why was information being leaked; and why are legitimate concerns of clubs being overridden in this way? Its no wonder that the decline in newspaper sales shows no sign of stopping.
  17. He wasn't the messiah, he was a very naughty boy! But I agree, he clearly wasn't prepared to adjust his approach to suit the culture of our club. Something like this takes years, yet he wanted it to happen overnight. Had he been more pragmatic and listened to advice then who knows, he could still be our manager.
  18. As an aside, anyone who knows anything about the lengths that audit firms have to go to in order to comply with auditing standards, will understand the huge risk that Deloitte would be taking if they were to be involved in some form of cover up. I'm not saying it hasn't or wont happen, but given the sums involved in Rangers, why would a top 4 firm with turnover in the billions of pounds take such a risk? Its a bonkers suggestion without concrete evidence.
  19. Agreed. But Fergie was dealing with players from being a position of a living legend, with the larger than life persona. Without excusing the behavious of players at that time, Le Guen didn't have that. And as much as the players had too much control, I think PLG gave up too easily.
  20. As i suspected, I can find mr beech's email address on the Deloitte website.
  21. This is a typical leggo blog really. Pull together some know information, join some dots together speculatively; et voila! The majority of this information will likely be publicly available. Saying that, if he has some concrete evidence he should spill it rather than resort to innuendo.
  22. Agreed. His irrelevance was confirmed a long time ago. Normally I do not read any of his stuff other than what gets copied and pasted onto forums. However, for some unknown reason, my subconcious decided I would click on the newsnow link. I can only assume that my subconcious felt it was time to get angry about something after spending most of the morning in a boring meeting.
  23. For the love of all that is good and pure, DO NOT READ TODAY'S SPIERSEY ARTICLE IN THE HERALD.
  24. Thanks again to Chris "Fury" Graham. What galls me is that I am legally obliged to pay a license fee for this crap. If the likes of Spence want to write flawed opinion pieces for a tabloid rag or fanzine then he can go right ahead, that is his and the editor's choice. Its also my choice not to read or pay for such nonsense, a choice I am denied with the BBC.
