Three Bears call for Barry Leach to be sacked immediately
stewarty replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
It just seems to me to be part of the PR war. We all know that Leach and Llambias wouldn't hang around if Ashley was no longer in control, and we wouldn't want them to either. This just keeps the momentum up in terms of anti-Ashley/ Board press coverage. Level5 PR earning their fees, essentially. -

I've not long read that too. Really quite shocking how easy it is for such (alleged) frauds to be perpetrated. No wonder this guy has it in for AIM.- 55 replies

Possibly a retaliatory action... Whyte and his pal Gary Withey have really screwed them over.- 55 replies

Don't disagree with the overall message, but I'm confused as to whether he is a gent off the pitch, or a disruptive influence? Also, Hutton has shown signs of improvement with his short run of games, but I think its far too early to say its too early to talk of the last 2-3 game as his best spell of form at the club.

Could we get Chelsea to offer S-Bridge as a venue for the EGM?

Great work to all at the RST. Good to see the momentum keeps building. Anyone any idea on the amount of proxies that are held in addition to the shareholdings by both RST and RangersFirst?

Indeed, King said that their view of WH Ireland and Paul Shackleton is that they are not fit and proper to act as NOMADs to the club, and that he already had his own NOMAD lined up.

Seconds Out: Dave King v Mike Ashley – the Big Fight continues
stewarty replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
My take on King's "indifference" quote regarding Ashley, is that it was for show. He's playing nice for the time being, but all bets are off if he succeeds at the EGM. If I were King, I would be considering whatever legal moves are available to make sure that the Board cannot delay the EGM. For example, if it is clear, as he says, that they have over 50% of the votes, then the NOMAD should be stepping in to prevent the EGM and the associated costs. We'll obviously know today what the Board/ Ashley's next move is, but my patience for them went many many months ago. -
There's plenty of evidence that Traynor was one of the few who had the balls to stand up to the likes of Green, Mather, Stockbridge, et al; and their various "alleged" misdemeanors. You can only imagine the bullshit he was having to put up with dealing with that lot.

So, are they preparing to try and appoint two new board members as soon as the current board are removed following the EGM?

There was a mention from Gilligan that the club needed expert professional advice. He then listed various areas that it was required, including PR. Its a shoe-in that Level 5 would get the gig if King wins the EGM.
-
Yep, compare and contrast that with David Somers... *whoooosshhh*
-
Although they basically have the same aims, it is King who has requisitioned the EGM, rather than the 3 bears. They are being careful so as not to be seen as a concert party, for if they were, certain obligations, such as being required to make an offer for the full shareholding of the club, would apply. Its likely the 3 bears are in regular communication with King. The likes of Paul Murray has worked on previous bids with Park, and others.
-
Which is where the forensic examination of our finances and contractual arrangements will come in. I'd assume that King's board would ensure money was there to protect assets until legal advice/ action would sought/brought.
-
My only beef with DK's words are in relation to the "what if you lose the EGM" question. Fair enough, he will go back to the market and buy another 5% to get it over the line next time. Why not go ahead and get that 5% now? Appreciate that he doesn't want to line the pockets of existing shareholders, and that he seems to be confident of success, just seems like he's left something to chance and it could be seized upon by Ashley and Co.

I've got a mate who's got a massive collection. I'm sure he'd be interested.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jack-irvine-paul-murrays-more-5015233? THE Easdales have launched an astonishing attack on Paul Murray, mocking the former Rangers director and questioning his commitment to the club. A statement released by Jack Irvine, family adviser to the Ibrox club’s major shareholders, hits back at Murray for speaking out against the current regime in today’s Record Sport and savages him for being part of the board when former chairman David Murray sold the club to Craig Whyte for £1. Irvine said: “ So like an episode of The Living Dead, Paul Murray emerges from his borders lair having vowed never to return. He says he expects a smear campaign against himself and Dave King and in the same breath compares the Rangers board to Gerald Ratner. Hypocritical? You decide. “If Mr Murray and Mr King ever do get anywhere near the club they are welcome to carry out a robust financial investigation. The Easdale brothers have never taken a penny from the club and nor have they claimed any expenses. “One begins to wonder if we are not dealing with Paul McKenna as opposed to Paul Murray who appears to have hypnotised himself and his cohorts into obliterating the memory fact that they sold their beloved club for one pound. Rangers men? You decide.” In fact, former Deutsche Bank executive Murray launched an eleventh hour bid to persuade former David Murray against the Whyte deal. Forecasting the liquidation crisis which just over a year later brought the Glasgow giants to their knees, he said at the time: "In my opinion, Craig Whyte has not adequately demonstrated what his strategy is for managing and funding a negative outcome on this matter."

Paul Murray tells Rangers fans: Join our bid to bullet the board
stewarty replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Quite clever stuff actually. Its a constant drip of good news from the RST and RF, as well as from 3B and Dave King. The more prominent and wealth fans, ex-players, etc declare their support for change, and back this up with support for fan ownership vehicles, the greater the pressure grows on the current board. Furthermore, it increasingly isolates those who are opposed to change.- 32 replies
