  1. Good luck to him. Can't argue with his attitude or application when he was with us. Clearly this move suits both parties, so no complaints.
  2. I'm concerned we're a touch light at the back if we pick up any injuries. Zaliukus clearly isn't fancied as he isn't getting a sniff, and we're brining guys in on loan who are ahead of him. Mind you, that create opportunities for U20s, as is the Warbuton way.
  3. James was a non-exec director of the plc board. Sandy was the Chairman of the football club board, a subsidiary of the plc.
  4. Albeit we will need to see what the final deal looks like, but if the rumoured structure is true, I don't really understand what is in it for Celtic, other than an attemptted GIRFUY to us... Signing Allan but loaning him back for the season... If true, they clearly don't need him McGeuch (sp?) too, as part of the deal... thus losing a player from their squad Henderson on loan (or maybe it was the other boy), another option lost. Net result, they pay more in wages (allan likely to command more than mcgeuch and henderson combined if its to be worth his while..._) and have less options for their squad.... Plus they're paying out a fee. Seems mad to me.
  5. It is.....
  6. His agent probably can't get anything like the same size of contract...
  7. There's only one, Scotty Allan He said no, to the provos...
  8. Interesting that one of the key features (so far) about Warburton's time as manager has been around how he has empowered the squad to take ownership for their own behaviour, standards and performance. Now that he's no longer at Brentford, that ethos has obviously slipped away as you have a player blaming someone else rather than admitting they messed up or could have done better. I know which mentality I would prefer our players to have..
  9. Cheers! How are the youth teams facing up? Have the changes initiated by Warbuton begun to filter down?
  10. Mark Hateley's return in '97... Stuck the nut on Stewart Kerr
  11. Think the lad has promise but if he's not going to be near a starting spot then he's as well moving on so his career doesn't stagnate.
  12. I saw a tweet suggesting that Chris Burke might be a target on loan from Notts Forest. Can't remember who it was though...
  13. Also, the younger brother of Adam King who plays for Swansea. Currently on loan to Crewe
  14. THe first I heard about the interview was a very skewed excert played by Radio Clyde where King says the fans need to invest. Barely any context was given around this, but that didn't stop Gerry McCulloch and DJ scratching their heads about what it all meant. At that point, I remembered why I rarely bother tuning in.
  15. Andy "at the end of the day" Halliday. Obviously.
  16. Have to say I really thought we would have more games lined up. Its more of a concern than getting players in the door.
  17. Interesting stuff. Agree he should get a chance.
  18. Great stuff... And you say that like you have a say in the matter... You'll do what John tells you
  19. Don't think so. But as it says, the board is considering applying this rule where breaches occur, and the SFA have now re-confirmed said breach...
  20. I'm confused, mate. But no matter. He's a danger to our club and any chance to bloody his nose is welcome.
  21. Also, given the wording of the ruling, it made cleat that the distinction between different legal entites and the beneficial owner did not apply in this instance.
  22. There may be a subtelty at play, or I may have misinterpreted... but was the suggestion not that voting rights of shareholders found to have breached dual-ownership rules would be disapplied?
  23. They didn't, and that wasn't the basis of the charge.
  24. So if I rob a bank today, I can't be prosecuted tomorrow because the robbery itself is no longer ongoing? Behave... The idea, as far as I undertand, is that any shareholder proven to have been in breach of said dual ownership rules, would be proposed to have their voting rights disapplied, The main benefits thereafter would be a) to prevent him from taking up his portion of shares in the proposed rights issue (as if he'd actually *invest*, snigger snigger); and b) to prevent any future breaches given that the SFA levies fines on the club. All very sensible, as I'm sure the majority of shareholders will agree. Tanks on kiddy-on lawns, etc.
  25. Still a breach, as confirmed by the SFA. Again.
