    Lowry

He played really well on Saturday, albeit vs Partick Thistle. Lets see how he's going at the end of the season. If he can play 35-40 games and hopefully some group stage european games, I think he'll kick on nicely and be an option for next season.
  2. To be fair, I was convinced looking down from the club deck that it was a second yellow. I was very relieved when the ref decided to have a word instead, but I think a high proportion of UEFA refs would have carded him without a moment's thought.
  3. It was a toss-up between Souttar and Goldson, but big Connor edged it. Cantwell was close after that. The big thing was how much we relied upon the centre half pairing to bail out the full backs when they were regularly caught in behind/ out of position. Absolutely loved Souttar's darting run in the second half to break the lines from a goal kick, playing the ball down the line for Matondo. Another sign that the work Beale is doing in training is starting to show on the pitch
  4. We can only speculate about his intentions. It will be interesting to see if he declares his motivations publicly.
  5. It’s ridiculous to give Martindale a 2 minute interview. He’s the most straight forward and fair assessor of all the managers in the league. Compare that to the banal “how important is the game today?”/ “how difficult has the last week been?” Questions that we get when it’s our manager. I cringe sometimes when I hear them.
  6. Big Soapy Souttar for me. Growing into the shirt with every minute he plays.
  7. Handbags away, ladies. To change tack slightly, I thought Beale deserved some credit for his substitutions. Livi were leaving space in the channels and we weren’t attacking it with balls over the top or into the channel. It was evident for a good while before the subs were made so it was interesting to hear Beale say that he left things to see if the team could work it out. When he did make the changes, instantly we had more pace and width, which also then challenged some tiring Livi legs and we got the late goals. There have been hundreds of league games at ibrox that have gone in a similar fashion. A work in progress but we’re moving in the right direction.
  8. I wouldnt be surprised if he didn't, assuming he's had perhaps only a week or two in full training. But also, he seems to be one of those guys who are naturally fit and can get themselves match ready really quickly.
  9. Fine as it is really... but perhaps we could give each player a joker where they can double/treble points for a prediction... might be good to save for the latter stages of the year... Or, perhaps @Rousseau could randomly select one fixture a month to be a double/treble pointer... that might be easier to administer rather than having to track everyone's use of a joker.
  10. First half especially they used the diagonal/switch of play and it caught us out. Can’t work out if thats players not being used to each other, or if they were just half a yard off the pace because of all the running that it seems they’ve put the squad through. Putting my super optimistic hat on, it’s the latter.
  11. I think they time it for max exposure on social media to drive hits, and that means roughly when more folk are finished work after 5pm
  12. Came on to stay exactly the same thing. There’s a nice sense of momentum building. More please!
  13. Lowry was also injured for ages and his mother passed away... tough season for the kid. Lets hope he kicks on now.
  14. There was lots of positive chat from Wilson about how it was an "innovative" deal... I seem to recall that if we were to buy him, it would be at Bayern's discretion whether it would go ahead, and they had some exclusive buy back built into it too. In other words, the innovation seem to be that we significantly de- risk the Bayern side of the deal just to get him on loan with an option to buy.
