“I maybe have a point to prove to some people, but I don’t think that in this league there’s any point there to prove for me." Sorry Michael, you are only as good as your last game. And establishing yourself as a decent performer in a poor league, is not the same as establishing yourself as a decent performer for us. I know that these interviews are an exercise in generic platitudes, so I really hope that you didn't actually think you had made it. When Kevin Thomson said to Walter when asked how he felt his first few months ago, when he said 'aye alright' (or similar) - he was quickly told in no uncertain terms that 'awright was not fucking good enough'. Unless O'Halleron is able to adapt his game and his mindset quickly, he will fade back to being a decent SPFL performer with someone else. And reading between the lines, I think he knows that is likely to be the case.

When i say that I'm worried, I don't actually mean that I'm worried and I'm inclined to evaluate the state of the squad at the end of the window rather than fixate on any one signing. What I will say though is, if he does go to another SPFL team and he does give us a sore one or two, I think we will look very silly for not signing him. We are making assumptions that he is past it, but for a free hit till the end of the season, I don't think it would be a gamble to see how he goes. One of the things that may go against him though is the number of loan signings. Am I right in saying we can only have 4 at any one time? If so, with Dalcio, Goss, and Murphy already on the books; and with Russell Martin being lined up as a potential loan signing should one or more of the likes of Alves and Cardoso move on, we wont have the option to bring him in on loan and its possibly a moot point. And to be honest, if Alves or Cardoso did move on, that would be the priority position to reinforce. -

I fear that naisy playing for another Scottish team could well come back to haunt us. Yes he might not have quite the same level of bite he had 5 years ago, but at 31 there's no doubt in my mind that with a run of games under his belt and some confidence flowing, he will be a very effective player at SPFL level. If he's prepared to play for free effectively, it really is in the no-brainer category in my opinion. -
McCrorie particularly has taken a good few heavy challenges in the last few games. No surprise to hear an old injury has flared up.

Bookies suspend betting on Rangers being RELEGATED

The trouble with setting up so many begging (crowd sourced) blogs is that those gullible enough to support them demand insight, whether true or otherwise. Hence why Phil 3 names invents multiple personas, fake sources such as Rugger Chap and all of that baloney. In reality, for the most part, they know as much as Sergeant Schultz. But that doesn't satisfy the hooped masses, so now we're onto Admin 9543 -
Yes I've now been able to close it. Good to see the hamster is still earning his carrots.

Same issue on IE. Seems to be the size of the sticky note - you can't scroll up to the top of it to click on the X to close, which I was able to do to the sticky note that showed up when I initially landed on the new forum page, pre-login.

Having the same problem. Also using Chrome.

£10k pw surely rules out anyone in Scotland apart from us and them... I'm guessing our interest in Naismith will ultimately boil down to any other business done. For me, he's a replacement in the squad for Miller as I don't see him getting another deal. -

There was a lot of uncertainty at the time. And as much as it hurt to see someone we lauded say such things, I can at least put myself in their shoes and appreciate why they had doubts or were confused. That said, to come out and do that press conference was poor judgement and I think they were badly advised. If he does come back, I think he would do well do apologise and should he do that, hopefully we might put this to bed and enjoy watching him pull on the light blue shirt again -

Its a season long loan for Dalcio, I'm sure. Am assuming we don't have the option to send him back to Benfica -
Would be a great piece of business if we can cut our losses. As much as there was a player there, he has too much baggage and just I suspect would never quite adapt to our game

I wouldn't be averse to the idea but I think there's Championship clubs sniffing around, which I suspect could price us out of the market. Suspect he may be an option if he runs down his contract. -
I'm not so sure its a case of writing him off because of his car number plate - although that does trigger some warning signs! For me its more about our track record with signing misfits, unfits and unproven talents - be it via loan or otherwise. Sadly its a sign of where we are in terms of the economics of football.
-
As others have said - a seemingly Warburton-esque signing it would seem. The lack of option on the lad is also a concern. Essentially it seems to be a massive punt on an unproven talent. And if it pays off, he will toddle off back to London in the summer. If this is an example of Mark Allen's influence then so far I am underwhelmed.

Hi Pedro, it’s Murty here... seeing as you’re taking Gullit, gonna take Lalo as well? Nice one, cheers! -

Be interesting to hear what Murty has to say about the lad. Good luck to him, I hope he does us a turn. But like others, I'm sceptical. -

There's a possibility he may be heading back to Portugal - Estoril were rumoured to be interested. -

If this loan happens, we need to look at the state of the squad once our business is done and then make assessments. I think sometimes we're going to have to take risks in terms of player acquisition. That means taking a chance on potential, with a possible upside which is greater than a safe proven player. That said, we desperately need proven, fit and consistent performers - this lad fits none of those. -

Sean Goss? Colour me underwhelmed, although this could be the first signs of our scouting system picking up some gems. its the hope that gets you. -

Rangers want Michael O'Halloran to return to Ibrox in January

Would make sense to a degree. He’s not a first pick over there so better he sits on our threadbare bench given we need the backup. TBH, he was only there because Pedro shat the bed from a man-management point of view. -
Good attacking full back but too often caught out defensively. Hopefully can iron that out but glad we've got more competition
