  1. It's apparently bullshit and he wants to extend his contract. I hope so! If nothing else, it shores up his value so that anyone coming in for him has to pay full price
  2. Lets not forget the various contracts and merchandising deals he intertwined with NUFC for the benefit of Sports Direct, whilst playing on the emotions of a massively loyal supporter base; as well as all the advertising he pays nothing for (sound familiar?).
  3. Now that you ask I couldn't remember where it was I heard this, probably the H&H pods.
  4. He's at least a doubt but given Aldredo Morelos is out too, I'd fancy him to be on the bench at least unless he's really suffering.
  5. .... But as we all know, he doesn't make those types of investments.
  6. Given our recent signings (Declan, Sean, etc), I think an O'Hara and O'Halleron combination up the right flank might be just too much for some fans...
  7. I'd like Tav to stay, personally. But there have been noises for a while about him wanting to head back south so its not a surprise to hear clubs are showing interest, especially after his performance in the last OF game.
  8. Broxi Bear
  9. With McCoist you can almost hear him calculating how best not to piss off his pals and/or spivs in public - I just wish he had the balls to say what he really thinks about these folk.
  10. Harsh... but I'm on board. Zeig he.... no, wait... wrong thread
  11. If not, how much would it cost to get one?
  12. They clearly got the apprentice to produce the copy on that one...
  13. That would be good to hear, but unfortunately these guys would run a mile from it because they wouldn't be soft-soaped with easy questions and letting them off the hook when they make clearly bonkers statements like they have this week.
  14. I don't know if its whether these folk live in a bubble, or whether they just make up whatever random nonsense enters their mind that they just speak without thinking. Either way, I guess I'm even more alarmed at the prospect of fans taking their point of view seriously.
  15. Utterly deluded and cringeworthy. Even if Ashley wanted to invest Man City levels of cash I wouldn't want him anywhere near us. First and foremost, we know all about his character and his methods. If that doesn't spell it out to you clearly, you clearly haven't been paying attention.
  16. Celtic also looked a tired team in December. The break could well re-energise them, but they are carrying some injuries and a few of their more influential players are not in such good form. However, I think quite a lot of things will need to go in our favour in order to run them close come the end of the season. Not impossible, but we're a few points too far behind in my view.
  17. I've subscribed to the H&H patreon and one of the things that David has said repeatedly is that one of the aims is to support the rangers community to produce more content by bears and for bears. He has also said he's happy to offer advice and support to those who want to give it a go.
  18. I read that to mean that right now,he wants to work within a specific window that he feels minimises the risk in terms of the club's signing strategy; as opposed to avoiding signing a Novo or an Albertz because of their nationality. He's essentially in a similar boat to Caixinha and going with what he knows. Whether that is acceptable will come down to results. I guess the bit that isn't quite said is that I assume once he has solidified the squad and performance levels, he will be open to looking further afield. To be fair, its a strange question to omit from the interview
  19. I think the fact that we stayed at the IMG academy in florida was a signal of the work/influence of AJ, if not the invite to go over there in the first place... Encouraging, but we've heard rumours of investment from ITK people before - e.g. the HK bears. Dis applying pre-emption rights to shareholders was the first step - and hopefully a favourable outcome with regards to King's appeal over the TOP, but I have doubts on that one.
  20. Possibly because the club have been non-committal and they feel its a way to get a groundswell of support behind and force the club's hand?
  21. I've no way of knowing either way if that is true, but its something I've heard David Edgar say on numerous occasions on the H&H podcasts. I don't like the idea of a Board over-ruling the management structure either but it is something that happens regularly on the continent, albeit they have a very different culture
  22. Is this another humblebrag that you're mates with Kevin Thomson? I'm sure I had heard him say he was going in for an induction, to take in some training sessions and an U20 game.
  23. The rumour is that the Board are keen to bring him back, but Murty and Allen are not. Similarly, Pedro was not. The interesting aspect will be whether the Board decide that they wish to impose a signing upon Murty/Allen.
  24. You would certainly think they were trying to move him on. And based on his run out last night, the boy is never going to play for us in any meaningful sense. So from the point of view, freeing up the loan spot to bring in Naismith is a no-brainer from where I'm sitting.
