Agree - 3 x tough fixtures. Going to need a player or two to show up with some extra quality in the final third of the pitch. I fancy Dessers and Fabio to show up well though, and its about time we had a few cameo goals from Roofe.

The difference in him since those first few games of the season is incredible. He was lumbering, lacked sharpness and confidence. Now he's the complete opposite, albeit he has a bit of the Kenny Millers about him when he is 1v1 with the keeper and has time to think. -
Super Jack Butland in goals! Without that save we were dropping points.

Was always the fear in advance that we concede the first goal as it plays into the hands of Killie's game plan perfectly. Thankfully it happened early enough in the game that we were able to turn it around. Credit has to go to the players for adapting, albeit some better than others. For me the swap of Dessers for Silva was key. Too many balls in the first half were going long into Silva who either wasn't getting on the end at all, or was outmuscled. But it was the 3 bits of quality in relatively short order that won the game. Butland's save, then then two goals. Clement earning his stripes yet again by making the changes necessary. -

Keep it tight in Lisbon, go for it at Ibrox! We've a decent record vs Portuguese sides. Lets go! -
Would also endorse the Bluebells Bar for any bears heading to Lanzarote

Diomande for that bit of quality to get us ahead - St J were really stodgy

The centre half union vote sees me go with Souttar.

To my mind, if it was just us against the whole of Scottish football like it has been in recent times, then yes it would be easily shunted to the sidelines. This time though, its at least half of the top league clubs and there is yet more allegations of improper conduct and manipulation of facts. I get your sense of futulity but eventually the tide does turn, I'm just sensing something different this time.

Interestingly, as I was doing a quick skim through their annual report, they list obtaining/retaining the safety certificate for their stadium as one of their principal risks and uncertainties. Take from that what you will.

So their disclosure on provisions says... and... Neatly worded. Their balance sheet date is 30th June, and it was well after that when news came out in relation to the potential negotiations on a settlement. A cynic might conclude the timing of such an announcement to be deliberate so as to avoid disclosure. You could also read into the reference to insurance, though I'm not sure how that would work or even who would insure them for such a liability.
-
More to the point, their auditors would likely raise a comment and/or qualify their accounts if appropriate provisions had not been made in relation to such a significant liability. I haven't looked at the disclosures in their accounts to see what they are saying, but its obvious why they are preserving cash. Its also obvious why none of the blogosphere are commenting on this.

I bought the original corn flakes and their new chocolate ones at the weekend as they were on offer from Tesco. And now this deal is announced. I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

Lunny for me, but Butland and Yilmaz deserve a mention
