Coventry and QPR opted not to take a knee

I have no issue with anyone who takes the knee or doesn't. But who is pressuring football players or other sports people to take the knee? -

Very disappointing performance. Underlines our need for better midfield options. -

Great goal and assist as Ally was rejoicing. They’ll be lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch today. -
Great signing for them you would imagine. Providing Mourinho doesn't lose the dressing room before he gets up to speed

Thats a good point although I would say that the overall disciplinary process and lack of consistency, is led by the CO. We have had numerous instances where instances which should have been cited by the CO, were not. Ultimately the explanation I heard for why no charge was brought against the DU player was that the three person panel could not come to a consensus. What sort of idiocy is this that three people, presumably with a vote each, couldn't find a majority. That defies logic and basic arithmetic.

We didn't take our chances in the LCF. We need to look at our own performance and take responsibility for what we can control before we start looking for excuses. As for the league, two seasons in a row we faded badly after christmas. We can point to the number of games played at that stage with some justification, but we have evolved our squad significantly to try and address the deficiencies that arose. Third time's a charm for Gerrard, we hope.
-
Bombastic statements are easily dismissed as frothing rage, no matter how justified we think it is. I understand your frustration because I share it, but tbh I don't know what the answer is other than calling things out when they happen and working to change the culture within the game and to improve refereeing standards. There is no doubt in my mind that the hammer thrower mentality that is allowed to continue is one of the major areas that holds back our game and stops us bringing through young players.
-
Gerrard defended the player and the club with his comments quite skillfully- he had to be careful what he said in order to avoid be cited himself. If he had called out Clancy more directly, you can bet he would be up on a charge rather than the DU player. I thought his words were carefully chosen to get the message across about the hypocrisy and inconsistency of the decision and you only need to listen to the triggered reactions to see he got the point across perfectly. Whilst we might like bombastic statements and a PR war to be waged, I'm not sure that its any more effective in the long term other than making us feel better temporarily.

I would also prefer to not have made any redundancies if possible, but I think we need to separate the two parts to this. Whether we refurb the tunnel area should not be contingent on whether someone's job within the media operation is required.

Another two international weeks to "enjoy" before the end of the year. ?

St Enoch Square isn't a Castore/Rangers shop - its the store established by Elite, who are now in bed with Sports Direct. They're trying to bounce all of their old stock.
-
I heard castore are providing kit to 5G and anti-mask protesters. The conspiracy is real.
-
Absolutely. If they had been clearer about the challenges they were facing and didn’t appear to hide for a few weeks in the eye of the storm, I think that a lot of the goodwill that has been lost could have been avoided.
-
I heard on the H&H daily pod from Caroline Morrison who was in attendance last night, where the chat from castore is that we exceeded all benchmarks that came from discussions with the club. Perhaps the reason is simply that our fans have gone crazy to buy kit and put money into the club at levels that almost nobody could have expected. She also mentioned that they had spoken to others too, I presume people in the industry. In short, it’s clear they did market research.

Good customer service can make up for a number of sins, and it feels like a serious misjudgement not to have more staff in place at the outset. However, some encouraging feedback that they're taking things seriously and starting to get on top of things but there is a lot of work to be done yet.
-
On the surface of it, a very concerning update from C1872. I'm hoping that the club and Castore have something up their sleeve and are working towards some sort of detailed response plan that will address the concerns being raised, but it also worries me that they haven't reached out and asked for a bit of time or explained what is going on in the background. There's no doubt that Castore have misjudged demand. Perhaps the pent up demand has been such that nobody could have predicted how it would go. But for me the biggest issue was they said they understood what it would be like and were planning for this. Surely a more pragmatic solution given the short lead time on the contract and the ongoing pandemic, would have been to manage expectations and explain how many of each product would be available, so that folk understood that there were limits to what was available. They could have then staggered product releases over the course of the first season to smooth out the demand and let them build their infrastructure in a less frenetic manner.

Kent for me. But a special mention for Davis who has come in and changed the dynamic in the midfield away from JacKamara with minimal fuss. I wondered if he might be a bit part played this year but on current form he’s a first pick.

Interesting that McLaughlin retains the jersey. Deservedly though, he’s not put a glove wrong. And great to have genuine competition for starts. -
Interestingly, Premier Sports took the Sellik TV feed directly. I tuned in for the final couple of minutes and can verify said references from Gerry to Fartson that "we" were disappointing.
