SPFL clubs asked to consider expansion to 48 member clubs
stewarty replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
The usual tinkering around the edges guff from the SPFL/SFA. Edit: That said, I'm for the Colts teams in the lower leagues - we need to do better at the transition phase from youth to first team. -

Think Barisic was having a back problem.

Got selected for the Scottish Borders schools team and made a few appearances, but I/we were not that great. Played for a local team that was in an Edinburgh boys club league, and we drew Rangers BC in the Scottish Cup one year. Was snowing and poor conditions, which limited the damage to five nil. A cricket score would have been on the cards otherwise. A couple of the lads I played with had a chance of making it. One played for Cowdenbeath, Ayr and Alloa and is now a Solicitor Advocate. Another was a goalie who had a trial for Coventry I believe but injury ruined his chances of going pro.

I signed up for C1872 legacy scheme so am particularly disappointed in the recent turn of events. As mentioned by others, it felt like some valid criticisms were being taken personally, rather than being seen as an opportunity for increased member engagement and transparency in decision making. The lack of published/timely minutes of meetings and the lack of an AGM merely add to this. To get to a point were McQuarrie feels the need to resign rather than continue, indicates a breakdown in trust between the Board that needs to be presented to Members to enable us to make informed decisions about how to proceed. Unfortunately we seem to be in the position of needing an independent review into the governance and conduct of the CIC Board that will cost time and money that would be better spent elsewhere. To coin a phrase used from the past, we deserve better.

I watched one of these clips the other day and thought Robbie reminded me of Andy Halliday - any relation?

Dalglish - Rangers should sign more Scottish players to help national team

Central midfield. Had a good season on loan at Arbroath and was their young player of the year. -

Aside from the ludicrous fee, the problem with McBurnie is that he is clearly vulnerable to a noise up. He will be targeted up here and I would question his temperament to handle it. -

Good luck to KT. If he wants to be Rangers manager he will need to cut his teeth and I've no doubt this is a great opportunity for him. -

Em, we signed Scott Wright and Jon McLaughlin last season. Its also rumoured we are interested in Ferguson from the Sheep. We have 6 U21s selected in their most recent squad and have a whole host of players playing at all youth levels. What exactly is it about our recruitment strategy that doesn't already suggest we will sign Scotland qualified players if they are the right calibre and fit with how Gerrard wants to play? -
Great news - congratulations GS!

I think that its inevitable that the green brigade will be out in force to noise us up.

Sky are going to have 3 cameras focused outside the stadium, rather than on the game. And its guaranteed other broadcasters will be doing the same, and in town too.

Davis for me too. Thought he managed the game for us really well and was pivotal in terms of our possession game which I thought at times sucked the energy out of them. They just couldn't maintain the level needed to put us under pressure for more than two or three separate 5-10 minute spells. One in the first half, and a couple in the second. A stark turnaround in our respective fortunes when the margins of the game constantly evaded us at crucial moments.

Would be great to see Tav on the bench. His presence in the match day squad would be a big boost -
Agree with the general consensus. A bit part player who is occasionally useful, but a number of players are ahead of him. He's rumoured to be on circa £10k pw so on that basis, assuming its true, I wouldn't be surprised if we move him on but also not surprised if he runs down his contract.

He scored a fantastic solo goal last week, it was doing the rounds on social media.

they do love the comfort blanket puff piece. It’s like Sharkhead has been full all season and the pandemic has had no impact on their finances whatsoever.
