Two bald men (Club 1872 and Rangers FC) fight over a comb
stewarty replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The Bitci fan tokens sold out "within seconds", was the headline. 20m token @ €0.15 euros per token, raising €3m/£2.5m... (though no idea what the club's commission is on that). Today they are €0.04 per token, so 27% of their original value. -
Thought he had a positive impact on the team second half v Dundee - not least through his goal. Simple things like putting pressure on defenders/goalkeepers by varying the play, being more direct in terms of taking shots, stuff like that. If he can get another hour under his belt for Wales then he's sharpening up nicely for the beggars.

I read that it was just a bit of cramp and that he is fine.

In my opinion, how we view Gio's success will be firstly be based on whether he retains the title. Interestingly, that will also be how we judge the departure of Gerrard. That said, he has only had one transfer window. It took Gerrard until his third season to mould the team the way he wanted it, and to extract the consistency of performance we all crave. If we don't retain the title, he should get the chance to re-shape the squad and go again. But as has been said by several other posters, there's a lot to play for. Sharkhead aside, Gio's european strategies have shown that he is good at delivering one-off games. I think this is going to come down to the two OF games - and thats where I think we will truly see whether Gio has the makings of a successul manager with us.

It has been reported that the strip was in fact registered with the SPFL. Storm in a teacup in would seem

match thread (image) [FT] Dundee Utd 1 - 1 Rangers (Aribo 76')

At least part of the set piece weakness defensively is McGregor's reluctance/inability to command his 6 yard box. -
Gone for Jack as well. Amazing how much he influences the team with his positioning, screening the defence, regaining possession, precision of his passing.

Yes. I think it was a wake-up call that we need to focus on each game and not be so passive at crucial times. The manager has taken the metaphorical handbrake off to some extent, we look so much better with the full backs getting into forward positions more often. And on top of that, we’ve got some crucial players returning to fitness. I’ve said to my mate that we need to keep the head and take each game as it comes. Much as they’ve had a good spell, Celtic have had all the marginal breaks in their favour since the turn of the year, and arguably in December with one or two late goals. To me, there’s a fragility to their squad’s fitness and confidence. It’s down to us to put in the performances we are capable of and put them under pressure.

Europa League Draw: Borussia Dortmund v Rangers
stewarty replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
The preverbial "free hit" for us. And with Dortmund's variable form, we need to pick our moments but I'd like to see us have a go. -
Scottish Cup: Dundee v Rangers (Sunday 13th March 4pm)

I’ll take that. -
You sound like you're planning your squad for your Football Manager game. Formations are starting points for the structure of the team. Players naturally will adjust positionally during games to find and exploit space, to counter opposition tactics, cover for team mates, etc. We play with a nominal front line of 3 players, but there are a number of considerations for the manager when picking which ones - form, fitness, playin style, training performance, opposition-specific tactical adjustments, etc. Yes we could pick our best 3 strikers and that might get some results, but some players are better suited to the wider areas and Kent is one of them.

We tried to get the game moved but UEFA wouldn't agree to it - not sure exactly why but I think it was to do with the game being live on TV. Ultimately I think they control the venue the same as they do in senior competitions.

The number 10 Alvarez for Sevilla looks a bit special. Lowry our stand out - clear to see why he has already had a first team chance. Looking forward to seeing how he develops. Also thought Weston looked really good when he came on.

Jack's calming and precise influence in the middle of the park was very welcome. I thought overall our energy and aggression off the ball, was markedly improved with the likes of Lundstram showing again that he shouldn't be written off, but it was the Buffalo who set the tone immediately and got the crucial goals.

Next year's accounts will be interesting regarding the Castore deal in particular, but its clear we have a strong team in place and they're delivering new revenue streams on a weekly basis. Encouraging read.

Sakala as he was a constant threat. Hopefully he can dial in his decision making in the final third
