  1. Aye, looks like Celtic are shooting themselves in the foot a wee bit. My crystal ball predicts a transition season for Celtic which is good news for us. Hearts are in constant transition so I reckon we'll coast the league by March....
  2. He's not exactly done well then..... Faria Alam anyone???!!!
  3. Surely given the length of time we've been on the 5 star list we're due a final. Anyone know how we can lobby UEFA/ SFA?
  4. Nah, he's heard that Macdonalds are starting to do delivery's!!!
  5. So your a Wigan fan then, Roy?

    John Wark

Never knew that although he was a wee bit before my time.
  7. I cant understand why Erikson doesn't go with a 3-5-2 formation. Right back is clearly a problem, although Hargreaves played well there today he's best in the midfield holding role. This would also allow England to play Lampard and Gerrard without sacrificing a striker for Rooney to play off of.
  8. Cant see Webster moving somewhere to be an obvious 2nd choice.
  9. Also, although I didn't see much of the game - everyone was raving about Ballack and Chelski are getting one hell of a player! Dont fancy being a Premiership defender trying to keep on top of Shevchenko and also stopping Lampard and Ballack scoring every other time they have a pop from 25 yards.
  10. Given that Elmander didn't get much of a chance to impress- hopefully that will mean that his transfer value isn't exaggerated much more than it already is and we can get him for around the £2.5m mark already metioned in the press.
  11. 1-0 at half time with Owen injured in the first minute. Bet Erikson feels like a right plum by not taking an extra striker. Reckon he'll play Gerrard up front in the next round...
  12. I've always found gersforums ok and I do browse on occasions but rarely post. There does seem to be a lot of name calling and disagreements but overrall I think the content is good and its usually pretty busy. Welcome to any gersforum refugees, hope you enjoy your stay!
  13. True, he didn't get a decent run in order to prove himself, but there are question marks about his ability and attitude, since we've only seen him play a handful of games. Also, given the fact that we were so poor defensively, for a large part of the season - would it not be reasonable to assume that a guy with his experience should be able to force his way back into the first team??
  14. This could explain why he's been pish so far at the WC- he's been nervous about whether or not PLG will bring him to Ibrox. Just shows the pulling power we have now that one of Brazil's all time top scorers is more worried about playing Aberdeen on a pishing wet night in November than he is about winning the World Cup. :D
  15. Another transfer rumour. Never heard of the guy personally.... http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagenews.asp?newsid=154147
  16. You never know. Le Guen might actually get the best out of him and he might turn out to be a decent player ** he says optimistically**
  17. Dont think it matters who it was really. Good to see the letter printed. Wonder if Mr Speirs will respond...
  18. Whats Tony Roper doing chasing after Le Gaffer?
  19. To be fair, that's all the press have got to go on at the moment. It's not as if he's done many interviews. The only one he's given is to the official website (I think) so it's no surprise to see the papers scratching around for anyone with something tenuous in common, to give their tuppence worth.
  20. I like this ruthless streak that is commented on. Basically if you dont fit it with the stlye of play then you get chopped. No more shall we have a manager sticking with players who clearly aren't good enough.
  21. Hope the Czech's haven't peaked too early but still a good bet to beat Ghana.
  22. Sorry, just realised Craig beet me to it.

    Poll

I'll second that. You always need someone to laugh at ...
  24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/5089146.stm
  25. http://www.psg.fr/fr/club/current_team_toplevel/letizi.html ...says here he's 1.87m which I reckon is about 6ft 4(?) - if thats the case lets hope he uses his height and catches crosses.
